Has anyone famously spoken out about midrangebrosteptearout?

i'm one of those who feel that the very premise of chainsaw tearout tunes is flawed. it has nothing to do with execution, it will always be equally ridiculous. it's an instant cliché and it represents everything that repulses me in music.

like kode9, it takes me about 3 milliseconds to press 'stop' when i hear that bass sound in a tune.

chainsaw's been around for years. the abrasive sound was never the issue. the issue is moderation, and staying away from formulas or using the sound because major producer X has used it, and you think that its your ticket to being heard as well..

Valid point but my point is there are people doing this with just about every sound that is hot right now. So why focus on chainsaws? Let's rally against these photocopy artists. Better yet let's just encourage originality! What is more annoying than Excision clones? People that are falling off the chainsaw bandwagon to become the next Joker or whatever.

right? all clones suck unless they bring their own flavor and NAIL it.
