I prefer a good CDJ to a bad vinyl DJ.

It's about the skills not the format

 If anything, YOU are the sheep in a massive herd chasing the current big thing, and I'm the lonely shepherd unintentionally leading the small flock of CDJ dislikers.
rob sparx wrote:If your referring to me taking a bit of influence from other producers then i dont see whats wrong with that long as the tunes are good
You're ripping off the current big thing...I'm ripping off RUN DMC.
Some people think your tunes are good...some people think my shirts are good.

But the fact of the matter is: lots of people think both your tunes and my shirts are shit; so don't try getting on your high horse mate. I'm not.

I'm 20. I'm allowed to be childish if I want to. You're a grown man, so why don't you try acting like one?
You could school me on mixdowns, but I could school you on your grammar and punctuation...so don't try being snide and taking the piss out of me for making a t-shirt which you don't like.
All people are equal...all DJing formats are not.

Understand I'm not trying to get one up on you, but if you personally attack me, triple A-list superstar dubstep (C)DJ/producer or not, I'll stick up for myself.
deamonds wrote:yea £10 bag how did you mix that mix? have you all those tunes on dub? if not then it can only have been through ableton, (as you hate cdj's) which are even fucking worse than CDJ's..
I've saved up and cut most of them to dub now but I did the original Joker mix in FL.
99% of the studio vinyl mixes I hear would benefit from a pre-planned tracklist. I like to get my studio mixes 100% perfect - to a commercial standard. You just can't do that with decks unless your name is Youngsta.
I can't do it with decks anyway because I had to sell my mixer and turntables last year.
When I'm playing out its a performance and I wouldn't dream of using a disposable format :)

Bottom line for me is: CDJ rewinds sound disgraceful.
If you're playing tunes which are good enough to rewind, then use vinyl for fuck's sake!
Ooh check her!

What are you really expecting ppl to say when you've posted a DIGITAL mix on here (obviously you experience the same problem finding money for dubplates as I do) and your selling t-shirts slagging off digital? Some appreciate that whilst vinyl has a better sound theres some shithot tricks you can do on cdjs that more than make up for its shitty rewinds.

Whats wrong with using vinyl and cdj anyway, works for Skream and Benga?

And whats not 'disposable' about dubplates which are only good for 50 or so plays?

BTW are you Will Blaze?
i have spoke to 10bag.. i disagree witht he tshirt but he has a point in lots of djs jus gettin pirated 320s n callin themsleves djs n not buyin vinyl or puttin anything bk in2 the music.. jus taking!!!

Fuck CDJs... who don't play our stuff. All the other CDJs are cool. :t:

I would definitely find it ironic to wear one of these while using CDJs. Or a Dubplate shirt while using a CDJ maybe?

Are you implying the 1-10 stacks a couple Djs spend on vinyl are whats saving the music industry? Are you going to tell me that 50 djs buying a limited dubplate and playing it out makes more money for the artist than 10,000 digital downloads by fans?

CD's and Digital Downloads don't have any quality control. Anyone can put out any old shite on the internet for download.

If something makes it to vinyl, it usually means its worth it and someone believes in it enough to go through the hassle and costs of making it happen.

CDJ's are cool. I don't hate them, but I have more respect for a DJ who plays the majority of his tunes on vinyl.

CD's are expendable which is why most pedantic music stnuc hate them. Quickly bang out a tune, burn it to CD, play it the same night - see how it goes off, cool. This is why I don't like CD's - not CDJ's.

Oh yeah, when was the last time you left a vinyl on the deck? Probably half as many times as you've left a CD in the CDJ at a club.

So you're saying:

Vinyls are good because it "means its worth it and someone believes in it"

Digital is bad because " Anyone can put out any old shite on the internet for download"

Did I miss something? If I upload something, thats choosing to upload and publish it. Hence why I have one track up, as I don't like the rest. The only difference is price. Regardless, the person buying the music still has to make the decision to fork over the money for it, whether its 20 bucks for a record or .99c for an iTunes download. To say that digital is somehow invalid as a music format because it allows more freedom to producers and buyers is downright bullshit. Take your record player and go back to your cave. I'm surprised you don't use a rotary telephone and ride a horse to work.
