Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-21
its not that hard to do, you just have to pretend its actually important or something.. which it can turn out to be if you spend time on it and actually come up with something sweet, then your like, oh fuck i have 2 days left i need to get to work hellla bad.
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-21
Yup. Actually, I have to give full credit to this contest for making me learn how to make & finish a song on a short deadline, something that I never learned before in almost 20 years of miscellaneous production experience. When there's no deadline, the song can stay a work-in-progress forever and never see the light of day. With the contest, though, you suddenly realize what's important in a composition and what's not. Structure isn't difficult - you just have to commit to something, anything. If it winds up not being the right choice then it was a learning experience.tavravlavish wrote:its not that hard to do, you just have to pretend its actually important or something.. which it can turn out to be if you spend time on it and actually come up with something sweet, then your like, oh fuck i have 2 days left i need to get to work hellla bad.

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-21
yeah i absolutely love doing these, the first song i ever produced was for dsf 12, i had a blast and it actually turned out to be a good song minus me having absolutely no production experience, i can still listen to it and be stoked on it today, i actually wanna remake it at some point.alphacat wrote:Yup.
