i missed this;
quote honestly, if i miss the odd diamond and also lose the 20000 unimaginative lazy 'producers' then id rather have that than trying to find a diamond in 20001 tunes.

Y'all are glorifying the days of the majors. You still had to sort through a billion useless tracks, and you had to do it by buying a heap of trash. Fucking day music stores got listening booths was like a divine shaft of light penetrating down from the heavens. You could listen to the music before you bought it! REVOLUTIONARY.
Dj's and majors were aggregators back in the day, and now the majors are gone (for all of our intents and purposes), dj's are still aggregators, this forum w/ all of it's distributed nodes feeding the larger neural net is a great aggregator, there are blogs, there still are labels with reputations, there still are older brothers at university...
I think the issue now is that you can preview anything you want. You can preview a full working copy of massive, you can preview batman, you can preview prince, you can preview everything, and then commit your cash where you see fit. Is that a bad thing? This allows you to more closely allocate your capital to what you value. That cannot be a bad thing.

I watched James Brown and Michael Jackson dancing videos on YouTube earlier, I definitely liked watching that! More performers should dance
On that point... The internet is fucking good for turning over content that really would have died on VHS tapes or whatever, or written information that writers couldn't afford to publish. It does have its ups, I was just slating it because quite often it feels like the bad outweighs the good, but I suppose the majority of things in life can often feel like that.

Well I don't think it's normal for the government to be recording your every action. I definitely don't think they should be in control of this generation's only source of free speech and free activity. We are not Australia for fuck's sake.
Every single thing I was taught in school backed the state to a tee. I constantly ridiculed it and fought against it, which is why I have fuck all grades
Fuck the uk it's wank.
