Battlestar Galactica remake was really good. It has plenty of weak characters, but overall its a pretty deep social commentary

also parks and recreation is really good. it has really come into its own form the past 2 seasons and is a lot more fun to watch than the office now

can't believe no body has mentioned Firefly yet. Possibly the best tv show of all time, fox cancelled after one season but it was amazing. Way ahead of its time imho. Trust me you will not be dissapointed. Also A show called dollhouse was brilliant, in fact, most tv shows made by Joss Whedon are well worth checking out. One of the greatest writers of recent times and seriously underrated.

Game of Thrones has come out since this thread started I think...definitely worth a watch.

Haven't got much else to add to what's already been mentioned.

Actually, Louie is an excellent show, one of my favourites in years, check it.

EDIT: Don't think I saw 30 Rock anywhere in the list either, great show.
