Seeing a fellow human being die.

@therapist I dont know, my friend told me about thatsphucked because of some video with a fat girl and i kinda just browsed the site. I found some videos where people were actually dying and almost became fixated on it. I think it was probably because of the taboo of it, you know. You can't just search youtube "guy dying" and get legitimate results and that enticed me. The only things that i ever really got "moved" by are pretty much any videos of humans killing defenseless animals and (shamed to admit i have even seen this) a picture of a hand strangling a full grown baby. It was obviously dead and his-her's complexion was purple and the lips an even darker shade.

@SubLime i'm so sorry. i can't imagine having to make that hard of a decision. i think people take their loved ones for granted way too much, nowadays.

and Electric_Head, that must've been awful. i thought there was going to be a happy ending where you took him to the hospital and it was just a close call, but...

also, Hypefiend, were you joking with that troll picture? 'cause i wouldn't troll this forum and of all of the threads, this would be the last one that i would mock

yea i was joking. just some guy earlier in this thread was mocking some other people and I had thought you were doing the same. sorry 4 daassumption but yea i have watched some insane videos for the past 5, 6 years( i have a bit of morbid curiosity). but i can't even imagine what it would be like to witness someone at their last moments, must be terrible. one video that disgusted me was of a woman who had been hit by a car and she had been pregnant and the fetus had flown out of her when she had been hit. pretty gruesome.

Had to witness what was my best friend, senior year of high school, accidentally get his head run over by an SUV being driven by one of my other friends. Died in the parking lot. Miss u.... <3

When I was about 13 I was at the wedding of a family friend's. After everyone had settled in at the reception afterwards there was all this panic which suddenly errupted and people started rushing to this one spot. I looked over and through the chaos I could just make out this old man slumped in his car - turns out the bride's dad had a heart attack and died. Was pretty grim really.

Also, when I was 22 I saw someone lying outside the Skyrack pub in Leeds walking to a friend's birthday party, was after the England vs. USA game in the World Cup. A friend of mine gets really anxious and started panicking saying he was dead, but I thought he'd just been knocked out. Anyways, the day after we're driving through the same spot and there's one of them crime scene investigation tents up. BBC news said he died in hospital. Again, really, really grim.

i saw my dad's dead body, we were stood in the corridor in the hospital and they wheeled it out, which wasnt great.

my mate was in a car a few years ago on a country lane, there was a car in front and a car behind, the car behind pulled out to overtake and a smashed head on into a car coming the other way. it was a young girl driving with her mum in the passenger seat and the little sister in the back. the car my mate was in pulled up and called the ambulance, tried to help and all that but the driver and the front passenger died straight away. the little girl in the back was pretty fucked up too but she lived, so did the driver of the car that caused the crash. my mates still pretty fucked up about it, can't say i blame him, i'd be happy to live out my days never seeing anything like that.

Never actually seen anyone die, but I was the first person to walk into the room after my granfather died. I was about 9 at the time, so that was obviously a pretty bad experience for me. Other than that, a mate of mine committed suicide in front of a train near my old high school. Didn't actually see it, but I saw the train stopped and the paramedics crowding around before I actually knew who it was. Found out later that night...

Like the OP said, it was a haunting experience. I'd spoken to him earlier that day and I vividly remember the last time I saw him alive. Definitely had a big effect on me at the time.

if yr there with a person, there's a helplessness you feel in not being able to bring them back, that is what is humbling about it

walking down manchester st after the quake and seeing people's bodies being covered up in the middle of the road was pretty tough. Especially when I couldn't find any of my own family in town.

also, seeing my father die was the worse experience of my life. I can't escape that traumatic memory.
