This guys voice makes me cringe!! specially that "i love that" @ 4:47
"i belive it saves alot of cpu!"
question: Should i get the reaktor player as well (i have reaktor 5) , for cpu optimisation? (im guessing the player places less demand on the cpu so multible instances would be possible.. )

The reaktor player doesn't allow you to save snapshots, which means you can't save your own presets - kinda sucks, but otherwise it is a really fun synth.
Re: Native Instruments Razor (new 'filth' plugin)
it's all part of NI wanting the filth-seeking kids to buy reaktor, so that when they browse through the other ensembles they start doing weird autechre-style stuff and start a new golden era in electronic music.FuhNetIk wrote:The reaktor player doesn't allow you to save snapshots, which means you can't save your own presets - kinda sucks, but otherwise it is a really fun synth.
a brilliant plan, hats off to Native Instruments!

Why Russia?
Why not America?

Why not America?

Re: Native Instruments Razor (new 'filth' plugin)
Because Reaktor is secretly run by skynet....
context:
Terminator 2
The Terminator: "The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes on-line August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug."
Sarah Connor: "Skynet fights back."
The Terminator: "Yes. It launches its missiles against the targets in Russia."
John Connor: "Why attack Russia? Aren't they our friends now?"
The Terminator: "Because Skynet knows the Russian counter-attack will eliminate its enemies over here. "

Don't let this guy fool you into believing this thing has a low CPU usage!! I'm Running 4GB Ram and a 2.7Ghz AMD Dual Core Processor, all 64bit, and this thing eats it up, couldn't get away with two of these running at the same time!! My Lil' bro can't even have one of these running without his computer glitchin' and he's had no trouble getting three or four instances of Massive at the same time.Fbac wrote:This guys voice makes me cringe!! specially that "i love that" @ 4:47

Sounds awesome though, shame it's such a CPU hog!!

I'm pretty happy with my purchase
it's a nice, money saving alternative to Massive
I'm particularly fond of the "stretch" feature

Re: Native Instruments Razor (new 'filth' plugin)
@ajamimares: You can run reaktor as a vst and then load the "razor" ensample (patch) inside reaktor so yes you can load it into fl studio. Ni also have a (free) reaktor player,,, it lets you play the instrument but not make your own
Q: Anyone Moded there razor yet? and why dont Ni release it as a vst as well? (for cpu reasons) cant you make vsts with syntheditor?

I'm running a dual 2.66 ghz quad core intel w 6gb of ram (i don't think ram really makes much of difference w this plugin tho, its not reading from a sound library, its all synth)GRAYSKALE wrote:Don't let this guy fool you into believing this thing has a low CPU usage!! I maxed out with 8 instances of it going at once. Not much of a CPU hog compared to Omnisphere or some other plugs...
Re: Native Instruments Razor (new 'filth' plugin)
How many massives can you run on that system?
What you mean dual quad core? You mean a core 2 quad?
