The main reason I voted no is I don't want to be lead blind by Salmond & Sturgeon, not because I'm ecstatic with the union. There was still no real idea of what was going to happen with currency.
They talk about being the only way to preserve the NHS - when Sturgeon went on and cut 1500 nurses jobs a few years back, people are quick to forget :cornlol:

Although, I'm glad to see there's so many people in this country who want to help the poor and needy, charities will be swamped with volunteers!!

understandable.. the currency issue would've swayed my vote to no if i had the chance. i mean, even if scotland was using pounds without issue,it'd complicate finances, especially without having any control over monetary policies. it's like this independence thing wasn't fully planned out. i really thought this was gonna be the end though!

AND going by what you're saying, you just have to be able to trust whoever is steering the way. i guess these guys (i haven't read anything about them) were not the chosen ones to lead scotland into independence. maybe if you got the right politicians down the line it'd be a different story

A lot of the YES mob are calling the no voters unpatriotic, selfish, scum and all sorts. My vote was against Salmond and the SNP, not support for Westminster and the House of Lords, the guy's a wolf in sheeps clothing, not this Robin Hood, steal from the rich and give to the poor that's he's managed convince people he is. He's on a 6 figure salary like the rest of them, so I don't believe for one second that he's creating all this wealth to divide evenly between every Scot.

Actually quite sad to see friends of mine indirectly insult me tbh. I've tried not to get angry about it, but it's difficult not to be.

That's exactly my point, I've never been entirely sure that Salmond always wanted to be fully independent anyway, I think it's an idea that he wanted to float about parliament for a while in a hope of scaring Westminster into devomax and when that didn't happen he got sucked in and got carried away with his idea. I mean, Tommy fucking Sheridan was one of the biggest campaigners for Independence, that tells you enough :corntard:

yeah, in reality it would've been a nightmare..
all those loans denominated in pounds? well the payments on that would've grown, IN REAL TERMS. and all those banks doing business, giving credit? nah, no bank would've given credit in an unknown economic or tax atmosphere. no one knew what lay on the other side and tbh it was just too much risk..

I'm just happy it fucked with Cameron and the Queen, shows that if people make enough noise and do something that something can come out of it. I hope people living in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (and the rest of the country ) get together to work out what's fair for all of us.

At the end of the day the UK is a rich country being bled dry by rich people...

Alex Salmond, the guy who supposedly had the best interests of Scotland at heart throws the toys out of the pram and quits as soon as he doesn't get his way :t:
