Bet hes reading this thread laughing at what a commotion hes caused. Same with Skream, they clearly only name checked Skrillex because they knew he'd get abuse for it.. that whole interview just seemed like a big joke, I found it hilarious and took none of it seriously. I'm sure he mentioned he was making a new album like Diaries of an Afro Warrior ages ago.
Even if parts of it had some truth, whatever.. good luck to him and big ups for what hes done for the scene.
In my opinion, it's a bit sad to see what Benga has become. Who's the next person to defect and go mainstream? Skream? Or has Skream already done that?

Maybe it's English humour.. But it seems blatantly obvious that the whole thing was a joke... Skream said hes gunna start working with rock bands only.. Surely you don't believe that? Also Benga name checked beiber lol. Trust me, it's a joke. They still do a weekly show on radio 1 playing dubstep.
It's funny how they attribute the demise of dubstep being a result of people who jumped on the bangwagon a year ago and now have moved onto something else...
Whereas I'm sure most here will interpret it as the tarnishing of the name 'dubstep' by bandwagon producers like Skrillex (who they named as 'The Future' looooooooool)... I haven't been listening to dubstep forever, only since 2008 when I first heard 'Night' by Coki & Benga (funnily enough) but even in that timeframe I have seen the way that their - Skream & Benga's - music has changed, rather than the attitude of the real fans. Whether this is a joke or not it's important that is clear...
So really and truly his music nowadays is shit, I have no problems saying that, and he's getting less love from the scene so if this is for real he probs feels that he needs to go in another direction, fair play.
Still wish I could have gotten this... bassline is SOOOO dutty
Alright so a lot of the interview was tongue in cheek.
Saying that, I am sure there are people on here who know the guys in person, just ask them what they are most sick of in the Dubstep scene at present, and no it's not the success, Skrillex or the newer acts which they actually like.
For a hint, head to Skreams Facebook. You'll figure it out.
You guys are retards and believe any article and turn it into a shitfest he was just trolling because people were doggin his icon toon as not being dubstep he later came to his senses don't believe everything the media throws at you.
