I'll have some friends in the crowd, but its an old friends B-day, and last time she was at one of my house parties she was begging for house music. I said to her.. "I dont have any of thos records" then in walked her friend with his record bag on his shoulder'
he was still denied!
but yeah..
this is a town of house music people, but I'll turn them all...! I WILL!!!!`

i cant wait to dance to dubstep locally in an uncarpeted venue!!!
dont sweat it man - you'll kill it. Tom said you can open up and play during set break, but i was thinking it might be better if you just played during set break. A lot of people there early in the night are still old folks eating dinner - we wouldnt to drown their meals in bass!!guerillaeye wrote:word!unklefesta wrote:I will be playing dubstep to a roomful of unappreciative house music lovers tonight at the local friday pub!

ill make an executive decision regarding playing to the geriatric crowd... if heart attacks will be induced.. i will kindly forego bass pressure to the corroded.

shame on you for tainting this thread with godzilla the naked beast, queen of bleach blond velocaraptors..
i was going to say that people last night were feeling it. we gained ourselves a permanint spot at that bar! HUGE! Looks like the owner wants to go monthly if not WEEKLY. and the dub band was really feeling it and asked if i would dj for them whenever they come into town.
in addition.. most all of the crew made it out to support. random people were comeing up to me and asking when and where i spin.. even a drunk guy started to fux with my mixer when i was digging for a plate.. he almost got nuckled on two sepearate occasions.
im on three hours of sleep and clocked in for work... still drunk. bless the shenanigans!

Big! This is a really good route to go v. the reggae crowd. They are all usually hip to DJs and dubstep fits them perfectly. Congrats on scoring the gig.
