I really hope the truth of burial doesn't come out at this point...

by the need for revelatation, I meant further insight - not necessarily a complete unmasking.

In all honesty - I thought that all the mystery surrounding Burial had more to do with sampling...

and someone having no idea it was going to blow up so big...

But I don't know.

I got into a huge arguement in school about the internet - the ubiquity of material - and it's entry into the collective.

I was rather shocked about that recent Kraftwork copyright ruling,
I didn't think the "offending" song owed anything to the Kraftwork sample for it's entirety - It was an original piece of music.

But I guess you can own a sound now. If you can't prove you have the equipment to make it without sampling...

I hear a lot of Run DMCs Peter Piper in that as well - wonder where the original sample for that came from...

I read Bambaataa got spanked really hard for using it as well...but that was a more direct usage of the melody and everything

Yeah there are interviews with Burial saying he had discussed stuff with Kode9 and had been pointed in the direction of Basic Channel and adding crackle.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that Burial is Will Bevan- a guy in his late 20's from South London that went to Elliott School?...He doesn't seem that annonnymous even- he's done quite a few interviews about his inspiration and equipment used and even posted up a picture of himself. Half his tunes reference south London and the picture on his first album cover shows Wandsworth. I can't see that there is too much intregue- he's just someone that doesn't want to plaster every aspect of his life on twitter/facebook.

Four Tet is Kieran Hebdon. Burial is Will Bevan. Why the conspiracies?

Yeah, but I went to that school and make music...I'm not Burial or Four Tet, it's a big school. Like I said above- Burial has actually given out quite a lot of fairly detailed information about his identity over the years, people prefer to forget that and go with the conspiracies though!

anonymous user name maybe... i post under warehouse on here so i can say what i want and it doesn't reflect on my music, i completely just made it up so i look your average budding artist. I have a different name under which i make music, i dj with 'big names' most weekends. They don't need to see me slagging off their music or talk all sorts of rubbish on dubstepforum.

In short, it just makes my life easier!
