happy life or not.. does not detract from the fact you are taking a fucking creatures life for your own benefit
It's just nature at work that mate, do you look down on all carnivores for doing this?
no i have no qualms with people eating meat. do as you please. i just think killing animals in general for our own greed is wrong.
why do you always refer to eating meat as greed? definition:
An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth eating is nothing complementary...
and for eating plants they have killed millions and millions of insects

Why are we allowed to ruin the planet in so many other ways then? including things that other animals don't do unlike eating each other.
Seems of all the shitty things humans do eating meat is a bit of weird thing to decide to do something about.
Also I did go for about a week and a half without meat once. It was genuinely fucking terrible. I had to do a lot of physical work too and living off lentils and shit didn't remotely cut it. The only thing that seemed to fuel me was over eating all the morning porridge I could get hold of.

I don't pay anything to watch tv...
Advertising is rampant. If it
is a necessary evil it could still do with being curtailed.

Advertising on the internet doesn't bother me that much actually. Seeing a small advert on a site I go on for movie reviews set up and ran by one dude and knowing it's paying for it is much nicer than coming into London on a coach and being fucking bombarded by billboards I don't give a fuck about.

I don't buy or read magazines..
Anyway, did you even read the thread?

I said magazine ads can stay too because it's ones choice to purchase it.

I read it very briefly. Okay, I see what you're saying. You're against force fed advertising.

Yeah it's been reduced from all advertising to tv/film (in the cinema, unless it's a trailer) ads and ads in public places.
Sorry if I offended you, Molzie. I was only joking about it being an immoral industry.

It's instinctive for animals. They don't exactly hunt for leisure like we do.

So if no one owns land one day someone could turn up and kick you out your house and lay claim to the land?
That's why I am for a form of decentralised anarcho syndicalism. It's all about land being dissected and distributed amongst local, much tighter knit and less densely populated communities. But of course this comes with a whole heap of political baggage on the side and it's not exactly simple to deconstruct society in such a fashion at this point in history. It also takes a rather large amount of cooperation, honesty and integrity within these communities or else the whole system falls into chaos.
But that's just my ideal vision of the world. I don't think it's retarded though, if anything I think it's quite a nice, idealistic concept.

You clearly have never owned a cat.

I often find my cat throwing a dead mouse down the stairs so that she can chase it again even after its dead.

Cats are domesticated. A wild cat wouldn't kill a bird not to eat.
