A certain person tried 2 kick down the door cause security locked him & all his equipment/etc out.
Ppl were smoking grade inside the studio.
It wasn't just friday, saturday too.
I think it all got a bit too much for Geeneus. Reminded him of the old dayz, when radio was real and he needed grime 2 survive.

ive been in america workin for the past month so im a bit out of the loop. its kinda hard to seperate fact from fiction/speculation on this thread but it'd be sad if grime has gone from rinse completely.
the distance thing - did this happen down at fwd? who was spittin? if d wasnt happy couldnt he have stopped it?

Well I think although its a shit thing to have happened its fairly acceptable.
If Geeneus is trying to slowly legalise the station thats a god thing. More people will likely listen (whilst FM radio is stil popular at least) and Grime can be reincorporated in a more professional way.
Just because your trying to go legal doesn't mean your selling out, you may have to make concessions to be able to spread the music you love.
Once the music spreads then there will be a larger fanbase and therefore presumably more people who are heavily interested in the music. This in turn will generate more content and the "hardcore" will survive.
BTW i'm listening to rinse now and the funky house is alright, the dj keeps on bigging up different places across the world like japan and uruguay which is amusing. He also offered his condolences to the Grime heads.

'grime' and 'compromise' are two words that just don't fit in the same sentence

There is so much bullshit being talked on this topic, well done mos dan and ufo and others who are saying the right things. Dismissing any form of music entirely is always a dumb thing. If you do that you sound like washed up punks who sit about drinking cider and complaining that it aint as good as it was in 77. Wake up sit up and start making some intelligent analysis.
Kinda hard to believe. Seems like an awful lot of time slots to fill.
Really sucks though. There were so many good Grime shows. Roll Deep, Spyro, Newham Generals, Neckle Camp, and more.
I hope someone starts a new station or everyone moves to an existing one. It's becoming harder and harder to say, "I like Rinse," with Geeneus' antics.
