Fixed. You surely don't think the English are more hard working than immigrants lol, I don't even know how you could accurately judge such a thing.jaydot wrote:Most people aren't even that hard working.

That's a fallacy that most people aren't hard working.Muncey wrote:Fixed. You surely don't think the English are more hard working than immigrants lol, I don't even know how you could accurately judge such a thing.jaydot wrote:Most people aren't even that hard working.

You must be contradicting yourself then.. unless immigrants are the exception to the rule, which again.. how could you even accurately justify such a statement?jaydot wrote:That's a fallacy that most people aren't hard working.Muncey wrote:Fixed. Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
When will people like you get off the liberal left leaning bandwagon just because it's easier to appease people that way? I'm an intelligent guy, it;s not as if I'm "thick". People have agreed with me already on here about the exploitation. And as for the part about most immigrants not being hard working then I stand by it. That's if they have a job at all.Trainrek wrote:you are so clueless I almost pity you...jaydot wrote:Most immigrants aren't even that hard working. Polish and that's about it. Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
Equally how do you measure how hard working a person is in a job? I guess if they meet their targets etc but it's a kinda abstract concept. How can you say most people aren't hard working though to a certain degree? Infrastructures and economies would collapse if they weren't.Muncey wrote:You must be contradicting yourself then.. unless immigrants are the exception to the rule, which again.. how could you even accurately justify such a statement?jaydot wrote:That's a fallacy that most people aren't hard working.Muncey wrote:Fixed. Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
Oh people have agreed with you? Just means they're equally as much of a speng as you are.
Saying immigrants aren't hard working is the most ridiculous statement ever.
Generalizing an entire group of people and giving them all the same label ("not hard working") is about as valid as generalizing every muslim as a terrorist, every black guy as a drug dealer, etc.
Some people are hard working, some people are not. The fact that they originate from a different geographical location has absolutely fuck all to do with it.

I didn't say anything about hard working people, I was adjusting your point.. you're finding contradictions and faults in your own pointsjaydot wrote:Equally how do you measure how hard working a person is in a job? I have no idea how you could measure how hard working a person is, your the one claiming whole groups of people are exceptions to a rule you've claimed is a fallacy.
You've essentially argued against yourself. Quite correctly may I add, "immigrants are hard working" is nonsense, on every level apart from in your mind it seems.
Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
I never said "all" immigrants, Eastern Europeans are probably hard working (although there's no concrete evidence they work harder than a British person who could equally do the job, and it's only fair you let a native do the job in thier country of birth). My Mum told me the Africans are lazy at her place, (yes it's a whole country encompassing many different people and many different people but for purposes of differentiation from Eastern European I'll use "African". Most of them simply don't have the skills set to do "skilled labour" and it's not as if they do manual labour. Romanians and Bulgarians (romany gypsy types I see a lot begging or stealing (that's my personal observation, some probably work but I don't see where). People from Commonwealth countries like Aus and NZ or America (is that even in the Commonwealth) obviously speak the lingo so do customer facing roles. I've never slated the "older" generation of immigrants as I know the Indians/Caribbeans/Irish helped build thiis nation, and a fair ammount of "economic" migrants are too. But it's just saturation. Manchester is becoming more ghettoised each day with different nationalities filling vacant properties in areas that were once largely white British. And I'm sure you'll agree no one wants immigrant ghettoisation unless you live in middle class suburbia and aren't affected by it.Trainrek wrote:Oh people have agreed with you? Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
Allow I've been doing intense physical work all day and I've not eaten. tbf if I knew my place in a much better environment was at stake if I "didn't work harder" was at stake I'd work hard. Immigrants have no choice but to work hard that's why there in the country, they pursued the "dream" now it's up to them to maintain it. Just like the Irish before them who had a massive hand in the industrial revolutionMuncey wrote:I didn't say anything about hard working people, I was adjusting your point.. you're finding contradictions and faults in your own pointsjaydot wrote:Equally how do you measure how hard working a person is in a job? Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
Also how am I bad-mouthing "every immigrant in modern history"?! Didn't I say Irish/Indian/Caribbean people helped build the nation? Didn't I also say "also some Eastern Europeans"?! Think you're taking your stance as a foreigner too far. Swiss people are cool they make nice cakes,
Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
I'm of algerian origin, my grandparents and my parents slaved away for decades, first in france, then in switzerland, a couple of them in israel. I spent two years in the army to fulfill my constitutional duties and I've been working in a refugee shelter for the last two-and-a-half years to finance my studies on my own. I know what it's like to come to a country and not speak the language, I know what it's like to suffer from xenophobic pricks and policymakers, and my family sure knows what it's like to be a foreigner.
you know nothing yet you're the first to make stupid-ass claims about how immigrants take your jobs / social housing / whatever gets your little prick stiff and sturdy.
I can't be arsed to actually have a conversation with you. you know fully well what kind of bullshit you wrote not only in this thread, but in the ukip-thread aswell, and I don't see how me searching for adequate quotes would provide anything fruitful to this conversation. anything that needs to be said has been said ten times before, and the people who said it did it better than I ever could. if you're still standing by your oppinions, there's nothing more to do for me than give you my two cents (which i did) and put your ignorant ass on my foe-list.

Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
So what I'm of Irish and Scottish descent, one nation has suffered ostracisation and oppression from the English for years and the other wants independence so what does that tell you, my grandparents fought in the war and to see people come in from another nation and effectively bleed the country dry (which some do, I don't care what you say, I'm not saying all but some-that and the sheer saturation of British culture and the ghettoisation of cities due to immigrants is a sad thing really.Jurkhands wrote:I'm of algerian origin, my grandparents and my parents slaved away for decades, first in france, then in switzerland, a couple of them in israel. Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
Why are UKIP doing so well in the polls if their policies are shit? I think it was about time a party with a credible, strong stance on immigration came about, their economic and social policies may or may not be a bit weak but the BNP are just too far-right to ever be considered an electoral candidate to vote for. And even when my friend was doing some anti-racism leafleting (this is before he took the same stance as me, used to be really liberal then saw for himself the effects of immigration)-some black and Asian people who are obviously of immigrant descent said they were voting BNP. And that's BNP, not UKIP. It seems you're either right or left these days you don't get many people with a neutral opinion on immigration. You've got people the liberal left who are more often than not middle class and then the more working class, more right leaning people who as I say are actually directly affected by the effects of mass immigration. And it's all religions/creeds/colours.
