Mate, you're gunna have to work shit out yourself. All the basic information on synthesis has been given to you. It's up to you to put in some time and work to figure out how each knob is going to effect the sound just like the rest of us.

Wow, 7 page deja vu.
Anyone feeling like 4x4 / bassline / niche / whatever bass questions are becoming the new wobble around here?
Synths can be daunting as hell, but tweaking them till you get a sound you like is one of the most rewarding bits of this. Sometimes even just fucking with settings at random can sound really good, music is all about the little accidents.
I'm still a beginner, but just by messing around and trial and error you get to know your synths and start to understand how a sound is made just by listening to it.

if you gave 99 monkeys 99 laptops w/ FL7 installed and only os3 open-- surely one of them would make a nice warping 'wuUUUUHHHNNNGG' niche sound eventually, right?
c'mon folks. there's only so many sliders and such. add google to that and it's almost like, if you have to ask......

Isnt Dubstep 4/4? :S
I have listened to this so called "niche" and its house music to me. It has some sub bass that Hosue often doesnt have. But if you look back to real House music from Chicago and check out what Kevin Saunderson and Fast Eddie were doing over 15+ yrs ago, I see nothing new.
So I dont really understand the question here. Are you asking how to make a bassline?!
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I'm not sure whether he wants to know how to make a certain kind of synth or whether he is looking for someone to actually write him a bassline

Nah, I think minimal dubstep would be even better.

I hate reason now. Please dont make 4x4 bassline on it. It all sounds the same.
Fl is ten times better! Any simple synth will do.

Go play back that old pure garage CD you bought a few years ago....ITS THE BLOODY SAME!!!!
4x4 bassline niche is such a load of crap and wont last past september, its just pitched vocals, reason bass and a 98/99 garage revival!
I also hear craig david is making a comeback...coincidence?
Think Not

cud u tell me if anyone know...
i use reson 4, i dont no wat use, but if u have reason 3 u can stil use it, i use subtractor, if its that uwamp sorta sound u wana create u gota use the lfo, pic sumfin like big base( not da best but ino it works) turn ur lfo amount up, put ur sync on, set ur rate 2 4/4 n select the wav form "inverted saw tooth" da 1 dat looks like a triangle, there 2 that look like that u want the 1 thats looks like>> /l ( i tryed my best 2 explain) once u dun that im sure ull fink it sounds quite rubbish, but u will understand how that is created, now jus make ur own sound n tweak untill u like it.
