Cute.
yep but in the same time she is incredibly mischief, that's why her name is microbe :]
oh yeah the cat...

. nah I think mischief in animals is endearing, although I imagine it makes them more of a nightmare (pet free household here you see). Cats are much better at being cheeky than other pets I reckon.

yes, she is highly evolved and doesn't hesitate to flaunt it--cute but a pain in the ass.
they're known as hemingway cats (after the writer)...her opposable thumbs are called "polydactyl" google it and you see some cats have got some fucked up mutations.

the opposable extra digit means 2 extra claws on each paw...play fighting gets a little out of control some times--she drew blood this morning on her sister's head.
it's not like she can open a door or do the dishes--it would be nice if she pulled her own weight around here--but she's good with the stuffed mice and just looking cute. that's all she does really.
i wish she would thumb wrestle. that would be the jam.

Amazing, didn't know anyone had a pet hedgehog, and I've never seen or heard of an albino one! Where do you live? Do they sell albino hedgehogs in the pet shop there?

I live around Washington DC.
They're not a popular pet choice due to the fact that their nature isn't very playful/social. I'm the only person I know who has one. They've only been domesticated for I think 10 years, I got him at a specialty pet shop in my area. Albinos are actually the second most common coloration (or discoloration) for the pet breed of hedgehogs. Obviously you wont see many albino hedgehogs in the wild as they'd quickly be prey for some predator without camouflage.
He lives in a rabbit cage 18x24 and sleeps most of the day (hedgehogs are naturally nocturnal) but I take him out for a few hours every day and watch him scuddle around on my bed, they're very curious creatures.
In a nutshell he doesn't do much, just sleeps, scuddles around and poops, like any other cage rodent. But I love him nonetheless and as you've proven here, he makes for an interesting conversation starter.
