Though a relationship may initially feel nice physically (read: hormonally) That always passes, and then your left with two people, their flaws as individuals, and expectations of each other waiting to be fulfilled. Seems like a lot of inexperienced people dont quite understand that a meaningful relationship requires work, and tends to change as individuals change over the course of time.
What i consider "love" is more "self-love" than being enamored with another member of the human race. Often times we are looking for our "soul mate" and the reality is that we're looking for that other half of ourselves outside our Selfs, when we should be looking within.
It reminds me of those Depeche Mode lyrics "its only when i lose myself in someone else, that i've found myself"

THIS!!!!!!!! all day this!
I think this is crap. The other Half? I'm not looking but if I was I wouldn't be looking for a part of me, what you said originally is write, a succesfull relationship takes work to keep it going, what people need to ask themselves is if it is worth the effort, Be selfish, if it dosn't work for you then fuck it off.Misk wrote:

haha... yeah i dont know about the heart shapes and giggling and blushing, but i know what you mean about the first days. I heard somewhere that that "honeymoon" feeling you have is a biological thing thats hormonal and that it lasts the first 9 1/2 weeks... and that it's designed to keep two people together long enough to give them enough chances to procreate... interesting...bellybelle wrote:TheEvilGirl wrote:met a friend of my cousin....two days ago

the first days are the best days....
its awesome when you're a grown woman and you've been reduced to giggling, blushing, and drawin' out heart shapes on random scraps of paper....

Clued.Though a relationship may initially feel nice physically, that always passes and then you're left with two people, their flaws as individuals, and expectations of each other waiting to be fulfilled.
Needs nuancing. Love maybe just a biological phenomenon to ensure mating or a catalyst for looking past self into the infinite...Often times we are looking for our "soul mate" and the reality is that we're looking for that other half of ourselves outside our Selfs, when we should be looking within.
