Best release of 2008.
Damn i fuckin agree!!!!!! I didn' listen to it when i made my first post in this topic, but now that i put my ears on it... :dubstep rave: WAOW!!!!
Fusion of old electro hip-hop 808's and dubstep, the vocals are great, certain times simply gorgeous.

And also props to Silkie's "Sky is the limit", one of the best tune i heard this year and think this will last for years, what a tune!!!!!! It has a metaphysical appeal, when you hear this one on big soundsystem it realy makes you feel like sky's the limit

It's been a really good year. In fact in retrospect, it's been a much better year than it seemed to be at the time. In particular because, reading this thread, there's been a load of high quality, smart, danceable dubstep that I didn't get round to buying. And I bought a lot... though I've been buying heaps of old grime and 2step.

Overall tune of the year for me is Paleface ft. Kyla: Do You Mind (Crazy Cousinz remix).

Dubstep tune of the year for me was Pangaea's You and I. Absolutely mentally good, though Ramadanman.

Album of the year has to be Dusk and Blackdown's Margins Music. Superb. Though my non-dubstep album of the year is either The Imagined Village (it's a folk album!), Rachel Unthank (another folk album!), both of which just kill me, or Heatwave's An England Story.

Label of the year - toss up between Hyperdub, Hessle, Deep Medi and Hotflush, but there's a HEAP of good little labels.

Special mention to Anti-Social who are rapidly turning into the best dubstep / future garage producers around.

One tip for 2009: watch out for Untold's remix of Toasty's The Knowledge. You have been warned...

Kuma - Dawn Stepped Outside.

Continued proof of dubstep's uncanny ability to sound fuck all like itself and still be undeniably dubstep.
