What makes me laugh is imaging the guy behind the computer... "i've read/heard lots of people that likes dubstep love "anti war dub"; i don't like that tune, i'ma go on dubstep forum and start a thread saying that tune is a bit shit". Silly
If you don't like it you don't like it, don't run and tell on dubstep forum it's shit. Come on, it's like telling a guy how ugly you think is wife is!:D
BTW, I'm listening to that tune now - brings a lot of memories each time i do it- and i really can't get why some people can say it's shit. HUGE TUNE. Dunno who said the lyrics were gay...... hilarious cuz ridiculous. You must think Bob Marley and loads loads of other are gay so
DMZ gives the pure sense to the word dubstep to me. If "dubstep" is the question, "DMZ" (with Loefah) is the answer

Not a big fan of Anti War Dub, Haunted, or Midnight Request Line. I however will say that Misty Winter and Learn are real good tunes by the Mystikz.

?! I can't say those tunes are bad. But, have you really listen to dubstep?! Anti War Dub is much better than both misty winter and, learn. By far, IMO.

I guess that what it is. It's not like mind-blowing on another level in technical terms. But the vibe is what takes it to that level.
It's not just the vibe. It's the music.
In any genre of music there are tons of generic filler tracks that can only be sorted by the quality of the production and how well it works as part of a DJ set. With a tune as original and powerful as 'Anti War Dub' those factors barely come into it.
The production / sound design on 'Anti War Dub' is decent enough but as a tune it's got everything - great hook, great vibe, great beats, great bassline.
Oh, and as for the lyrics...unity on the dancefloor is what dance music from 70s funk and disco through house and hardcore to dubstep is all about. The grime forum awaits people who think that's "gay".

very true.
Im not saying Im perfect but im taking my time learning how to make tunes properly and get the production as good and as consistant as possible, something most people who rush things out dont do, hence the high rate of rubbish tunes that you dont want.
To be fair Mala's production sounds very good with his more recent stuff, and all his tunes seem to come from the heart which I rate incredibly highly. Probably my favourite artist in dubstep
Oh and just because it sounds good in the club doesnt mean its well produced it just means it sounds good loud.

Can't actually believe the things being said in this thread.
Anti-War Dub is fucking amazing, can't be matched and like some said still gives me shivers time to time.
Midnight Request Line - i didn't use to think it was that amazing, heard Chef play it and then bought it on Vinyl and now i fucking love it.
Benga - Pleasure - Really can't understand how you don't like this song, proper goosebump business again.
I really don't understand some people. Why start a thread saying you dis-like one of the biggest and most widly respected songs in Dubstep on a Dubstep Forum, you know people are gonna defend the shit out of it.
FLAMING, TROLL IDIOT.
