Post by rhillbmx » Tue Aug 25, 2009 4:00 pm

Boat party tickets are not included in the main festival ticket price

I wouldn't recommend trying to take nos on a plane, as i'm sure they will have restrictions on pressurised gas containers etc.

Suppose it's worth a try, the worse they can do is take them off you at the airport....up to you....

anyone got any ideas of how to get from zadar to novalja after 8.30pm on the wednesday 9th night? our flight only gets in after then, and taxis are 30e per person for 5, 13e per person for 14+ people, still pricey.

any chance a big bus could be organised? would be alot cheaper than taxi-vans. there must be lots of people flying into zadar wednesday evening around then that need to get to their apartment in novalja...

cool. i think thats the only flight goin from dublin to zadar that day.or even that week... it arrives in zadar at 20.40. well there will be around ten of us anyway so five more and we could get a taxi van for 13euro each.if we get more people still it will be even cheaper....

Cant believe I booked the last place on the 2nd bus. :D
Lucky enough there is a third bus if anyones wanting the sunshine cruise. Hopefully getting my hands on SUBDUB and DEEP MEDI boats!!
I here’d last year some twisted couple were getting it on in the toilet on the coach, better leave it out this year.

Im off solo due to incompetent friends, is anyone else going by themselves and want a drinking bud?

Also, very intrigued on the drugs issue, as i wonder how strict it would be if someone was to perhaps smuggle something on board. As ive hered its a bit dry over there, as i was watching a youtube vid of last year’s event there was a group of friends screaming out if anyone had some green! i don’t want to be in that situation!
I wanna give you some good frequencies...

DEEP MEDI boat is sold out now. well now some of my mates cant get a ticket. pissed off, but i suppose i got mine...

you can get stuff there. supposedly the venue is on a beach/party area that would usually have more drugs floating around than where it was held last year in petrcane garden. the media call zrce beach "the ibiza of croatia" so theres bound to be stuff to score.

I asked the guy sorting out apartments (Johnny) whether he might arrange a coach but he just pointed me to the site they keep pointing people at. Told him that the last bus would leave before a whole bunch of planes landed, waiting to hear back.

I'd be up for sorting out travel to Novalja if you guys have room. Will be on the Stansted plane which gets there 2030. There were loads of taxis around last year but they tried their best to scalp you.

From http://wikitravel.org/en/Novalja
Novalja has a reputation of being a very safe city, however, party lifestyle has its consequences. First of all, drug presence on the beach Zrće is extremely high, so the police often patrols around there. Because of the beach’s high reputation and fame in Croatia, many young people who cannot afford to stay in Novalja come for a weekend and sleep in the car, drink in the car and then go to party. Picking a fight is possible with them, so don’t respond to provocations. Conservative Croatian public often refers to Novalja as the Sodom and Gomorrah of Croatia. Public sex is a common thing, so don't be surprised. Condom vending machines are located around the beach, so feel free to use them. But in general Novalja is safe place and top tourist destination with respectfull and most hospitable inhabitans which will make you return to this location again and again.

Sad news from the DIRT camp I'm afraid.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we will not be providing the sound for Outlook this year as it has been previously announced. Whether or not you're concerned/bothered we thought we should just let you know as I know a few people on the forum who were looking forward to this (ourselves more than any). We're gutted to be honest.
It's going to be a ridiculous festival and the line up is insane, just sad not to be there battering people with bass.
Have an absolute blinder.
