but i'm not sure if dubstep has yet produced a fully satisfactory "album."

this is a difficult one because a good album for me will tend to have a range of tempos and textures beyond the remit of one particular style of dance music.
unless you want a cd to put on at parties, in which case a mix-tape will do fine.

but i like an album that covers a bit of ground, and establishes itself in my mind as a distinct, unified thing.
i suppose, "more than the sum of its parts" is the phrase.

9's album does well but i feel it could use a couple more tracks, probably short, transitory numbers.
in an album, i want a balance of flow and dynamism, and no dubstep album has fully cracked that yet.

bloody good bunch of tunes all the same.
