Might not be that unpopular tbf, but no album captured the essence, weight, moodiness of dubstep like Distance - My Demons did. Ultimate dubstep album imo. Memories Of The Future comes close.

Midland's best release was "Play The Game"

Pangaea - Router is probs a top ten of all time tune.

Skream! is a good album, not as moody as I think dubstep was in general though. Like if somebody in the distant future says to me "What was dubstep, but I only have the patience to hear one album, no singles", I'd play My Demons.

Sunset Yellow is a tune, but Router is untouchable.

Dun kno! Love Mistral so much. My Demons was one of the first dubstep albums I got into, used to bump Mistral, Weigh Down and Night Vision so much in my car.

Probably unpopular but i'd play them Nomad. My Demons is to rock influenced to play to that theoretical person, imo.

:corntard:
by that logic you shouldn't play nomad either cause it's too techno influenced

from the shadows would be a good choice as well

Such a shame percussion seems like an afterthought in so much of the music that's big at the moment

Is it? I know nothing about techno..
I just feel Nomad encapsulates what 'Dubstep' means (I suppose just to me, thinking about it) better than My Demons does. I mean, guitar riffs and shit is, by and large, fairly unique to Distance.
