Only played this on vinyl, probly a silly question but will the mp3 sounds as good as the vinyl?, coz to be honest i've never compared mp3 release to vinyl before

Vinyl just sounds slightly deeper and warmer, not quite as harsh on the ears as digital

If your digital sounds harsh to your ears you've got a shitty setup.

No it doesnt

just going off what I saw in a that bassweight dubstep documentary, in a club, the guys like "with digital everytime that a hi hat hits, it feels like an icepick in your eardrums"

I don't mind digital, although it is true that vinyl sounds nice and warm

He talked about how people didn't have it mastered so when it was played it a club it never sounded right. I bet most of it is placebo, if i gave you a WAV & a vinyl i doubt you would notice straight away.

I could at least notice because of the little crackles and stuff, I've compared a digital file and a vinyl sound and I can definitely hear a difference in my KRKs

The sheet of paper gives you the website. it's like vinyl.brownswoodlp.com or something.

Why is that a complaint? That was one of my favourite things about it, I can listen to it at lower volumes and still feel the weight
because at medium to higher volumes, the low end is overwhelmingly loud. i know, we all like bass, but there is such a thing as just too much of it (relative to the other frequencies)

I don't really find that it's drowning anything else out...

maybe it's a tad exaggerated, but the bass is louder than about any other record in my collection.

it's not to the point that it's unlistenable, i mean it's still a really nice and pleasant sounding album. just something that definitely caught my ear.

I thought the same thing when i burned a copy to listen to in the car. Way too loud. The later tracks on the album seem to chill out a bit, but the first half or more is just mixed waaay too bass heavy. I rarely need to adjust my sub level in my car, with this i have to turn it down to literally one click above "off". Maybe a good choice for playing out on weaker systems (bass compensation), bad choice for overall album quality.

But apart from that, yes I think this albums pretty great music-wise.
