I think I just got my boss to agree he's a fucking idiot.

Got called out by someone over a email today (when she clearly thought my team was in the wrong about how something was done) where the other party had included a half dozen 'important' people in copy to watch.

Replied with mutliple pieces of evidence to the contrary and a couple of quite frankly damning emails from her where it was obvious that she's fucked up from stage one and was trying to pass the blame.

Moral victory, of sorts

One thing I've found useful is to save every email and every IM conversation I have about a particular customer for ease of reference in situations like this where my team is getting blamed for something that we were asked to do in the first place that later (unbeknownst to us) turns out wasn't what was actually required.

If there's 6 of you, could always approach a local B&B/hotel and request late checkout, there are plenty round there.
