Yeah, that was great. Jared's becoming one of the funniest characters I think, when he was talking about the app that could find that couples child :cornlol:
Really enjoyed Silicon Valley, despite not enjoying at the beginning, really grew on me.

How much of what they actually talk about is real? Cos I really know fuck all about the complexities of computing and coding and shit. I mean I know the "Weissman Score" is something they just made up.

Yeah, that was hilarious, and the reference to the Adderall he bought from the kid earlier in the series as well

There was no Big Head in the final episode though, apart from a crowd shot of him with the programmers?

Likewise. Think the funniest bit in the whole series for me was the garage door mural of

Dinesh fucking the Statue of Liberty up the ass, which then gets painted over with Bachman's face giving the thumbs up.

A lot of the more basic coding references are legit, AFAIK. Stuff like Weissman is made up, and I'm not too sure about the actual compression techniques that he talks about in the last episode.

They should do a TV show of The Big Lebowski.. would need Jeff Bridges and John Goodman though.

Halt and Catch Fire: a new series that began two weeks ago. It's about the development of personal computers in the USA in the 80's. I found the first two episodes really interesting. Recommended for those who liked the geeky side of Silicon Valley, still it's on a more serious tip than Silicon Valley.

probably been mentioned but Louie is incredible, weird anti-comedy, probably the most honest show i've ever seen anyway

the dynamic between gilfoyle and dinesh is probably the best thing about the show

also they had actual stanford grads work out the math for the dick joke, read the paper here:

Started watching Star Trek Voyager. So far so good. Up to this point (end of season 2) the stories are better than TNG but the character development is lacking. I feel like voyager is missing a soul; something that made TNG a very good show.

Have you seen Curb Your Enthusiasm? As much as I love Louie, its nothing new.. comedians playing an exaggerated version of themselves is quite a popular sitcom format.

I love both, but the only similarity is that they both play versions of themselves. Curb Your Enthusiasm is an out and out comedy, whereas Louie verges on being a drama a lot of the time, especially this season.

Season 2 of Rectify starts tomorrow :h: :h:

Exactly, Louie is not an exaggerated version of himself imo.

It's basicly a funny version of woody allens work but on tv and not creepily horny.

The best part of it, is not even the jokes but the way the show is directed.
