made a few posts on the forum, but never formally introduced myself.

I got this whole anonymous internet image going on, so my name stands as lil-tee.

My main love is DMC DJ Battling and hip-hop, but a mate got me into dubstep a couple of years ago and it was like nothing I'd heard before.

Getting really into it and just want more so that's why I joined the forum.
My job is in social media and how it affects people so I do have a big interest in that, my Twitter and Blog links are in my sig. :)

Hello all, from Silver Spring, Maryland outside of DC, anyways as for my music history. Grew up on Hip-hop, Soul, Reggae & Go-Go(Local thing), became a fan and a bedroom dj of D&B around late 96, mostly into the into the soulful, Dubby side of mordern D&B, over the years, i've become a bigger fan of Old Skool Jungle. I'm also into Soulful House and UK Garage.

As for Dubstep, being a Garage fan, I just followed the progression of the music through mostly J Da Flex's show on 1Xtra. When he left, I pretty much stopped paying attention. But in the last year or so I started paying attention to Dubstep again. I'm more into the deeper vibes, favorite producers are Digital Mystikz, Burial, Silkie, Martyn, Kulture, Synkro, Breakage, and L-wiz.

I'm excited about dubstep!!

Last month I threw a show at our art gallery to benefit a kids program that helps feed lesser-fortunate counties and neighborhoods... we played dubstep among other genres.

I'm interested in seeing what the shows are like elsewhere and meet people/other musicians.

originally I'm from Louisville, Ky but traveling right now... gonna be in NYC Aug 1st-3rd.. would love some insight on the spots to be

word'em up
as always peace
Blackout Siren is a music act down mid-west... when not in the studio I turn vynil.

Hiya. I'm alex. Just in the last month or so discovered dubstep, and I absolutely love it. 16, from California. Do a bit of producing every now and again with Reason. I used to do mainly trance and electro kinda stuff, but it was really bad. heh. Anyway, lately I've been trying dubstep production and it's going a lot better for me. I get a feel for it better.

Musically, I play drums as my primary and recently started piano and bass. Been producing by ear for a few years, only well (by comparison to myself at least), in the last couple months. Don't DJ, but I'm interested so should at some point.

I love heavy metal too. Electronically, I started with trance, got into some electro, happy hardcore, some dnb, now found dubstep, which I love move than I ever did those other genres. Sweet.

So yeah, enough with the formal stuff. Hey everyone, glad to be here :)

Ive been lurking here for a bit, I figured I should register. Im 19, from illinois and currently going to college, Ive been into dubstep for maybe 10 months or something? I mix, self taught, I think I'm getting better but I still have a ways to go.

I "produce"... hopefully throughout this year I will have some proper sounds. So far I like the looks of this forum, I'm glad to be posting here finally.

hi, i'm john, some of you may know me as double J from DOA

i'm mostly a dnb dj since 99, but some of the more recent dubstep tunes (applepips/deep medi/7even/tectonic/naked lunch/swamp81/ramadanman/jus wan/geiom, etc) are really nice so i've started buying a few dubstep records and having fun mixing them

i used to produce dnb but haven't made a tune in over 2 years, never even tried to make dubstep

i'm not from london, particularly cool, young, or hip i just like music

:P

Shockingly new here, don't produce any music, don't spin any dubs, infact probably one of the least musically talented people you'll ever meet, i just enjoy my music :)

sup everyone, yes yes! just joined the forum a couple of days ago been getting deeper and deeper into the world of dubstep ever since first hearing some bad tunes last summer. I live in dubai so its next to impossible to find any dubstep out although theres one place that got close once or twice so I keep tellin the dj there to get it fuckin started!

like what you're all doing on the boards here and hopefully I'll learn a lot from you all... for now just emptying my bank account into beatport's pocket ... anyone got any suggestions for a better site or one with different releases?

one.

Hey everyone!

Just joined from work, too bored, was looking around for a dubstep community! I have been browsing the forums for a while, especially the production area, which has given me some great tips and advice for making dubstep, which i have just started trying to produce!

Been DJing for about 3 years now, started with hip hop and grime, moved on to house and electro, now i DJ mostly dubstep and electro! Ill post some mixes up soon for you all to hear!

Hopefully get to speak to most of you around the forum at some point!

Peace out

Barney

i cant really beat what the above guy wrote but ill try...
first heard dubstep bout two years ago but at the time my ears were in other places and i continued to just listen to dnb (NZ solid!)
then came bulletproofs dark times lp which brought his alter ego dubstep alias razorgang in to play.
since then ive dugg deeper into the dubstep genre and am now just a beginner at producing it. i am actually a musical retard (that was a joke, im not actually a retard) and cant play any instrument but you gotta start somewhere and for me its on the computer.
right now im in to truth, optimus gryme, rusko, plasticman....

hello fellow forumers:D

I'm a minimal tech DJ and I've been listening to dubstep since like 2005/2006... I first started DJing dub/reggae music for friends' parties and then came across dubstep and fell in love!

I just did a few shows for Digitally Imported radio, one of which got Set of the Day, which is awesome for such a trance/tech/house orientated station...

The sound is so raw but the grooves are so deep!

Hey everyone.

I've been a big fan of the dubstep scene for a couple of years now. I've been reading these forums for quite bit but decided it was about time I got involved and got an account.

Love it.

Dubstep, all good.
