some social worker from greenwich being a dickhead and arguing the toss over anything i say, they wanted to place a young person in a flat in dulwich/forest hill but we can only find somewhere in sydenham (which is pretty much inbetween dulwich and forest hill) and she gets all arsey about it and starts flying off the handle at me... I'm only the fucking admin guy anyway, i just answer ohone calls and send emails and she starts having a go at me personally as if its anything to do with me at al

I saw Martha Wainright at Roskilde once... she started off with some spiel about how much she loved Vikings before stopping herself and saying "Well, I know Vikings are from Norway, but..."

Talk about losing a crowd. Half of the Danes in the audience were wearing Viking helmets!

if you'd said she was a geordie i would have said 'bloody geordies'

nah on a serious one tho, a guy i work with from Darfur in Sudan found out yesterday 11 of his family had been murdered defending their village from attack... some seriously horrible stuff happens in places we know nothing about

this is after previously watching his mother being killed in front of him and his sister being raped

the things some people carry with them are unimaginable to people like us, then you look at something like the '1st world problems thread' and just sigh....
