Yeah, it would be best to get out of it. But like I said... a long time to wait. May not EVER get such a good deal.

Seller has a 100% rating, and 69 transactions since 2002. That is pretty legit. I don't think the board is stolen, or I'll get a box with a couple of 2x4's in it... I think he might be trying to get me to cancel the auction so he can list it again, and go for $1,700...

But yeah, I don't have the money. I could sell off, hopefully, pretty easily about $700 worth of stuff. That leaves me 750 in the hole (with shipping).

Lemme talk to Dave (we're on first name basis, lol) and see what was done to the keyboard. What if DSI is like yeah we put potentiometers in there. I'll tell the seller, you know what, you kind of misrepresented the item, ship it for free, and I'll take it. Haha.

My first reaction, honestly, was of relief... like "THANK GOD!"

But that was only my first reaction...

Then I was like "DAMN!"

So, I just put in an offer on ebay for a new Microbrute SE and a Volca beats for $359 and it was accepted. I guess that is a Volca Beats for about $60.

Both new, free shipping. The deal is done.

I'm gonna pick up a cheap Beatstep and make some Electro, although I can't wait to hear what the Microbrute's step sequencer sounds like.

That same one has 11 bids on it right now.

Anyways, I'm just going to get a new one. I want it just as much for the midi controller aspect of it. I want to see how the pads are. I might do the beatstep, korg volca, headphone combo from the place in Cali that I bought the beats and micro from. Those deals that company are doing are totally worth it.

Sounds like a really fun setup - never having worked with any of them. Closest is the minibrute, and there was a lot of usable tone out of that thing.

But have been looking at all of them. I think you could get DOWN!

I do have a great curiosity about the ms-20 mini though... $400 is such a redic price!

All in all, you can't go wrong with any of this stuff! It is so affordable, and is freaking analog and tactile. Such crazy times.

MicroBrute has lots of sound possibilities inside it. It really needs a nice FX unit to come alive. Otherwise its a bit dry/dusty/brassy. Zoom CDR Multi Stomp is a good one. Does well with something lush. Then you can take advantage of the aggressive filter, "brute factor" and soft sounds a lush/dreamy FX can provide. :w:

DSI support has dope hold music.

A little loud, and over driven, but still.

Have been plunged into my state's bureaucracy and have spent hours on hold in the last week. That music I SWEAR is designed to either disarm you so you are compliant and unquestioning when speaking with the bureaucrat or send you into a psychopathic rage.

Yea. In retrospect inflicting Anne Hathaway on your already broken heart was a dick move.
