Well, cameo in that he's not the "main" son/supporting actor; he's probably in it for about 20 mins overall which probably is a tiny bit above internet pedantry guidelines for cameo.
He's good.
He's good.

Good Bye Lenin!
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

Been meaning to watch this for a ridiculous amount of time. Missed screenings of it at a cinema near me, never wanted to stream it online and eventually found a dvd in a rental shop.
Anyway it lived up to my expectations even after such a wait. Can't recommend it enough to anyone else that still hasn't seen it either.

finally watched elysium last night. what a shit movie that was. not to mention some of the worst accents imaginable. at least half the people in it sound like they belong in some really bad cartoons. and those cholo cyber surgeons lol

Lucy
gorgeous Scarlett follows up Under the Skin
with this trip
makes me wanna take acid and go to the flicks again
but the end shows Luc Besson, the director, hasn't done enough meditation/acid to envisage a more profound finale

I actually thought it was a decent for what it was: typical action movie.ultraspatial wrote:finally watched elysium last night. what a shit movie that was. not to mention some of the worst accents imaginable. at least half the people in it sound like they belong in some really bad cartoons. and those cholo cyber surgeons lol
Good build up at least, the last 1/4 of the movie is truly terrible though.
I also lol'd at a lot of the accents too and it reaffirmed how much South African accents bother me. Africaans

Big up on Kryptic Minds - 6 degrees and that Burial tune being used in the film. Little downs on some brostep bits making their way into it tho.

SO in the end I skipped guardians of the galaxy to see the new Planet of the Apes, because I loved the first one.
It was less comfy, much darker than the first one but I liked it. It's an intelligent blockbuster and a real technical prowess. I would've loved more Gary Oldman though. I felt it was a bit unbalanced in the ape/human screentime, and Oldman had a really interesting character that could have been more developped

Last Year at Marienbad. Beautiful idea, but talk about a dated soundtrack
Movie is further proof of the breadth of Resnais' vision though, with the crazy way in which he uses some of the sequences to move the story forward, only to bring it back to the beginning
