@urbannerd62 - Hmm like the odd vibes and the supersaw synth, and the little percussive incidentals, very cool! Vocals actually fit in pretty well which I am pretty picky about, my only issue is I think your kick is a little weak and maybe that main synth is a bit dominant in the mix

@MASUKA - hey dude so epic great piano work, if I had a clue how to do some of that shit I would totally abuse it. the synth is just silly dirty I like how it actually plays a melody tho and inst all retarded confusing like dubstep can sometimes be. I can't really give you any negative feedback, keep doing what your doing mixdown is so fucking tight- ok wait i take that back the ending seems like it could fade out a bit better cus it sounds like some kind of epic movie!

@ Fassyman - Very different haha! Love the weird tribal drums, the first of this song is a little stale in my opinion like not enough variance or something in that first chorus, however once those strings come in in the second part it sounds so much more complete. good mixdown, and unique vibe for sure.

@SesG -duuude fucking sick intro love how it filters back in again, not often you hear a "dubstepish" song that sounds like it could have been played by a band but this certainly does. the drums sound a little weak to me like maybe some eq work may fix that as that guitarish thing seems to be interfering. very cool song, you ever listen to like celldweller or any of his record label? Kind of reminds me of their cinematic style.

@Jstick - this song is hilarious and well thought out. your drums sound a little weak to me man in the mix but omg other than that this is a well crafted tune. Itactually made me laugh it was so silly.

@EraREdux - Snare sounds kinda weak to me on the mixdown. Cool bass noise tho mang, also I greatly enjoyed the intro nice voice sample choice.

@Psy-am once your track is back up on Soundcloud or whatever PM and ill gladly exchange feedback with ya

Um ya sorry I know i missed a lot of people but I will def exchange feedback with anybody that wants it. Here is my latest track been working on it off and on all week and finished it on my day off here so plz give it a listen and tell me whats wrong. Its semi mastered but that doesn't mena much considering I don't really know what I am doing with mastering.

Here's my first Crass (one of my favorite punk bands) dub that i finished a few days ago - their song, Crutch of Society. Anybody else like Crass? Let me know what your favorite songs are...and I might version them.

@masuka: Finally got around to hearing this track after meaning to for a day. Awesome stuff. piano intro to the lead drop is awesome and great wobbles and format filter usage.

cheers for feedback peeps who checked mine!

gonna check a few more bits, unfortunately at work so on pc speakers, so i wont comment on subs!
pain wrote: Soundcloud
nice intro, dont really like the 909 type snare, but lovely synths and nice oldskool style vocal thing. spoken sample before the drop sounds a bit low quality. goes a bit computer gamey after that, drop could probably have more impact if you stripped it back instead.
djwc101 wrote: Soundcloud
nice beat, cool synths too, sort of an electroey thing going on. hmmm not so keen on the breakdown (personal preference there tbh), nor the tone of the main bass. beat feels like it should be a bit less stop start too. not big on the wobbley shit either tbh.
hakka wrote:Near enough finished this monster!

ugh super autotuned vocals. dont really like the metallic bass there - other one is quite cool though. gets a bit dull very quickly too.
Joma wrote: Soundcloud

seems like theres a few duff notes in your melody there mate. kick could do with a bit more mid presence, second synth thing seems well wrong with the rest. keep at it though mate...
ObsidiaMusic wrote: Soundcloud
nice chunky beat! intro is cool actually, not so keen on the drop, bass noise aint really my cuppa. structure is pretty sound though, doesnt last too long - second drop is better than the first imo.
RAVE wrote: my first piece of production in my sig, would like some feedback so I can go away and try improve things for my next project :)
not overly keen on your snare sound there, tempted to say that your percussion/hihats and whatever sound a bit too busy. feels like it could do with some more variation to me.

ok that'll do for now - more to come soon. mines in the sig if anyone fancies checking it!

@fassyman--lucifers-cello, Nice tune but not enough variation for me. You need something to complement your sub bass more, if i could even call it that. Great idea, but minimal execution in my opinion.

@ SesG--who knows, not bad, the mix is a little fucked, and the melody could use some variation, not just another patch. On the plus though, I'm glad someone else is incorporating drums into the rythm of their songs. I mean that's what drums have been for since the cavemen. How do so many fuck it up?

@urbannerd62--the-way, Nice tune, personally I've never been into songs that are over six minutes and repeat themselves. From a dj point of view i could understand this, from a producers point of view I would say your main sample is repeated too much. Everything seems to work, minus any emotional element other than depression. Try to incorporate some different emotions in your minimal chord structure, at six minutes you should be able to enact almost every human emotion out of this tune, so don't settle for one.

@jstick--badhair-antiques-roadkill, Interesting, you made robin hood seem dirty. Unfortunatley I think you might have a ways to go as far as pleasing an audience in this century.

@Eradux--era-redux-encabulator-grime, Dope, I would probably lower the kd and lose some of the reverb on the snare(bring it up front and use the reverb to fill empty space). Side chain the Kick for sure, and add some sounds to the drums to make it sound not so static(panning everything of course).

@tek_selecta--feelin-boot, Dope, not really my cup of tea unless I feel like bangin my old lady slow style.

@Eradux--era-redux-dinners-ready-just-an-idea, Loving it dude. Everything sounds the way i would want it to.

@mr-ooze, don't just post shit and expect people to respond. You need to give feedback. don't say you'll do it on soundcloud or whatever, cause if everyone did that there'd be no forum. So give some feedback and you'll get yours.

@Akira, same as above

@vdbproductions, you know better.

@pumice-- not a lot of movement really. What are you expecting a listener to walk away with? Not to mention it's too fucking long without any real changes.

@MineOurArc--never-been-wrong, Who are you trying to impress? Or better yet, convince?

@Lordbid--work-it, Nice, maybe some chord movement would work as opposed to all measures sounding remarkably similar.

@Worker Ant, I agree with basic A. You may want to jump over the 38th parrelel as well, kim might like your tunes, the rest of the world, not so much. Keep trying, but if your shit doesn't sound as good as the rest of the shit on here, than I'd recomend not posting at all.

@HAACK--alone-in-the-dark, too slow and repetitive. Throw a fast part in there to switch shit up a little.

@Pain-pain-help-2nd-mix, dope and weird. Song structure is awesome, but I'm listening on headphones so I couldn't give you an accurate rating on your mix qualities. Still a bit slow in my opinion, however in your case i wouldn't change it.

@mr_ooze (again), Leave some fuckin feedback or get lost.

So here's the track i dropped the last day of last month, and feel that it should be represented here.

@urbannerd62- Your tracks were absoloutly sick mate, great to hear an american guy who makes some good tunes loved the sample and chords and the shorter track of the 2, and i also liked that sidechain u had going on with the synth in the other track id love to be able to spin those tunes ur sick mate, the sound quality was top notch as wel

@Siderealdb - Your track was alright. Im not really into my wobblers that much, but yours was more dancey and upbeat than most which is a good thing, but as the track went on it just kinda sounded too corny and generic and u needed to switch it up abit throw some different colours and flavours in there.

@Pain - Same as above

Haha thanks for the feedback guys. I wasnt really expecting any since I made the track with joking intentions, still glad a bunch of you got a laugh out of it.

Now for something a little more serious. Not dubstep but more dance/drum & bass.

Have a listen, I'd love some feedback and if any of you guys want some feedback specifically from me, let me know and I'll do what I can now that the pissing virus has gone.

@LordBid; some nice sounding wobble's going on here, very dirty stuff, but i think it could do with a little more fx, just little bits to fill it out, unless you were going for the pure wobble sound... good stuff.

@mr_ooze; you got all your wobbles sounding great, but i think melodically, it sounds a little out of tune, theres not many complimenting progressions but the sounds are great!

@hakka; the lost thoughts tune i see here is sickk! very nice dirty metal bassline, sounds very much like the sound in skream's exothermic reaction and a few other of his tunes, vox works well here too, big ups!

@Siderealdb; verry nice dirty sounds man, liking it. tbh, it does sound a little messy, but in a good way like dubstep should. and that second
drop is sick, nice d&b / rock feel, works well.

@jstick; loving the dancy tune, got some good liquid/ambient vibes going on. big ups

I may have posted this one up here a while back, but i've been back over it and it sounds alot better in my opinion, more bass and a heavyer drop.

i'll post the first one for comparison aswell. (available for 320)

@DjPSychonaut - First of all, thanks for the feedback on my track, much appreciated man!

Loony dubs - crackin vibe on this track man, really tense but full of space and I'm diggin that lots. Plenty of variation between synth sounds, effects and patterns. Really really like that little sequenced trancy pad throughout. Not much else I can say on this man, its mixed well and has a good spooky vibe to it!

New version is much better!

cheers man, i like your stuff and see what your getting at. the reason the two synths sound dissimilair is becuase i wanted to gradually switch up the sound of the tune, so that the last minute or so of it would sound different to the first. thanks for that though :D

have a listen, hope you enjoy this dubstep influenced tune:
Soundcloud
Cheers for the feedback, I'm not a drummer so compliments on that are really meaningful - cheers! Tbh when the break has rhythm its hard to go wrong :)

Feedback for you: Song doesnt seem to have an intro, its all a little busy and those drum sounds are a bit off. All the squawks and squeeks and whistles are really trippy. When the bass gets its groove I like it alot, but I'd say it leave out and just chill in the atmos for the start. The way that hight pitched sound fades out and back in again is kinda cool. Breakdown is niiiiiiice. And the resulting arp lead is a nice switch up, espec when it goes a bit crazier. Overall the beat needs a more pronounced kick drum to keep the beat rolling, and maybe a subtle pad to tie the sections together. Variation between full and minialism would add to the sense of fullness when its created. (btw reminds me of The Flaming Lips alot this track 8) )
LordBid wrote: @SesG -duuude fucking sick intro love how it filters back in again, not often you hear a "dubstepish" song that sounds like it could have been played by a band but this certainly does. the drums sound a little weak to me like maybe some eq work may fix that as that guitarish thing seems to be interfering. very cool song, you ever listen to like celldweller or any of his record label? Cheers, that pad was defo my favourite part of the track. I did do a fair bit of EQ to get the snare to crack enough, and had to tone down the kick to get it to sit with the other elements - maybe it needs more work as my mixing isnt the tightest yet.

Feedback for yours: At the moments feels very standard, the bass sound is defo straight out of the synth and needs more work to it to make it feel unique. Kick is nice and solid, and the white-noise-esque pads are nice. Feel like the vocals dont really add anything that a cool noise wouldnt, get mangling! Defo has weight though, just needs more fuckery if your going for a bro song, or more subtelty if your going for more of a chilled vibe.

Second your anger on ppls not leaving feedback btw. I'm probs agreed that it needs a bit more variation, but I've become a bit deaf to it, so one to leave on the hard drive and come back to!

Feedback for yours - like being in a fucking evil metal gig! Sounds awesome and evil with the guitar bashes and samples all tied together tight. Background siren-ish sound is subtle enough to just raise the temperature. Had my head nodding alot, but feel as is i was waiting it to break into something that flowed a bit more liquidy in the centre there. Would make a sick intro track for a DJ though ;) Mixing and everything is top notch, really clean for such a dirty song. All done on computer and synths or are alot of the sounds guitar samples, because if you told me you made it with your metal bandI'd believe you as well :D

I feel that hostility is a good thing every once in a while. It keeps people from sucking each other off, and makes them look at their shit objectively.

@MineOurArc--Ok hope this is more helpful, your tune doesn't really have any progression. The drums and bass sound looped and kind of weak.

@DjPsychonaut--Loony Tunes, I like your second version, structure and sounds are nice. No complaints.

@ thepsychonaut - i like the intro alot.. nice build up man! nice use of the sample. everything flows well in the main part, just some sounds arent really my thing... nice progression throughout the whole song aswell.

@ joma - haha, man, that intro is nice man, i really like it, minimal but awesome! the sample fits so well with the song.. and im really feeling the song aswell. and as i said to the psychonaut, your song also progresses well!

@ mr_ooze - i like this man, afew bits sound out of place though, like the silent part at 1.27 ish, wasnt really feeling that. but overall its a decent effort man, sounds a tad on the empty side aswell in places.

@ HAACK - intro..... sick...... main part..... sick...... maybe a tad repetitive, but i am totally feeling it! nice production!

new track from me and impey titled 'batman killa' check it and let us know your thoughts! thanks
