in fine style = dope

these tunes on the tempa soundcloud... wtf.

it's 2010 and tunes like this are still being made, personally i think they are all very boring, for the people who played a big role in inventing and shaping a genre, they aren't very good at making it.

not trying to be controvercial.

listen to the first tune on the soundcloud page and tell me that doesn't sound like a million other bland tunes floating around.

Yeah, not really feeling Water to be honest, but that kind of dubstep just isn't to my taste.

Think the rest are quality though!

after listening to all the clips on chemical I'm even more excited about this release...The quality of production is unquestionable and the depth/detail and variety is more than most offer...sure I wish there were more garagey beats and less halfstep ones but atleast they are not just 140 there's a range of tempos between 134-146 which makes it more interesting to listen too and allows for some interesting mixes...it was always going to be hard for horsepower to come back with an lp after what they have done in the past and the expectation around it but I rekon they've nailed it and once I get to hear it off vinyl on a good soundsystem it's going to get even better...you can just tell that it's the sought of music that you can keep going back to and discovering something new each time and that's a rare quality in dance music these days...

Anyone interested to know about some of horsepower's musical influences may like to check out the forthcoming short mix we have supplied to the superb FACT online magazine

The mix features a 45 minute selection of choice cuts from various genres that have inspired us at one time or other and has recieved quite favourable feedback from those who have given it a listen so far.. well it may prove interesting at any rate, especially for those that are unfamiliar with some of the classics we have included..

I am not exactly sure of the date FACT will release this on their site, but keep 'em peeled for that, we hope you will enjoy!

I Can't express enough my ongoing respect and admiration for the work of Jason and Transition Studios in general..

And indeed I have recently cut a record there with superb results

However all mastering houses have their own particular sound, partly due to the signal path and partly attributable to the individual engineer

I have always loved the tone of the particular sound equipment used by the Exchange, which has remained largely unchanged since we cut our first record there back in 1994 and I have not seen the same equipment used in any other mastering house over the years, so that makes them individual.

Like most artists we treat each project individually and in this case for various reasons we decided to use the services of Mike at the Exchange, and we have not been disappointed..

I found out about this and tuned in for the last 10 seconds. That's bad timing.

Interview with Benny on Fact.

http://www.factmag.com/2010/11/08/horse ... the-kings/
The detractors will always complain, each year they announce that it’s all dead or that so-and-so sound has killed it, but they’re short sighted – they’re not looking at the big picture of it. They should look back, they should see that what they’re complaining about is part of how it’s always been – of like minded people saying “we can do this differently”, of taking a new influence from something else, of wanting to bring change. It’s subversive as much as it’s creative, you know?”
