In the long run it's one more nail in the dubstep coffin, hence the irate attitude towards your performance. Arguing online is futile, afterall, no one on here is gunna give a fuck about your group and vice versa
Peace!
P.S. Don't suppose that bird is into dry bum sex? Looks like my cup of tea and that's my only standard

Re: urm......urm......this...is......cant find the words
well it clearly is a problem for you because you've come on here and started defending yourself. and if don't think music is a popularity contest then why were you trying to use popularity as a way to justify that your song is 'good'? You should just walk away now because there's no way of winning this argument and it'll just be remembered as 'that thread where modestep threw a tantrum' just like there was with cookie monsta and others before.modestep wrote:Like i've said a few times, if you don't like it thats no problem by me.. as you all said, music isn't a popularity contest.AntlionUK wrote:you realize that continuously trying to justify yourself on here is completely pointless? you're not gonna change people's opinions on your music because you worked hard on it or if you give away bare free tunezzzz!!! I didn't try and justify why it is 'good', I said it may not be to your taste. And it clearly isn't. I used the fact we had a ton of hits to prove that some people do like our music, we haven't spent a penny on promotion and the video went viral.. wether you agree or not, we must be doing something right. If our music is commercial then so be it, but it's music I naturally make (being influenced by a lot of Motown). If you can't see past popularity, then fair enough... and if you don't like it, then fair enough.. but I don't remember when music started being about hate and letting everyone else know about how much you dislike a track. If you don't like it, don't listen; it's always an option.AntlionUK wrote:well it clearly is a problem for you because you've come on here and started defending yourself. and if don't think music is a popularity contest then why were you trying to use popularity as a way to justify that your song is 'good'? the guy getting hated on is the only one being reasonable.
Re: urm......urm......this...is......cant find the words
Mowtown's popularity is due to substance
Your music is just so obnoxious that it gets on my nerves and seemed like a blatant attempt at popularity. Made worse by your defense at first

Re: urm......urm......this...is......cant find the words
its pretty crazy how modestep goes from asking production questions (including the formant noise heard in this song) and calling himself a noob in october to making this video...
either way, if you make pop music, it will be popular, because it takes safe elements and is easy to digest...
dont like the song but impressive marketing
