aint been here for a while, hit me up :)

@ cheeky - yeah the starting sytnth is a bit on the harsh side for the ears maybe just tone it down abit. the wobble i like though, a nice solid sound backed up with the sub. what i would like to see in it is bit of a switch up, something that would make me start going a bit more crazy and bobbing my head aha.

@Nacklewicket - loving the reggae vibe you got going, some chill;ed stuff man. sub is top notch and i like the drum work. however, i think there needs to be some variation. there are breaks in there but then it just kicks in to the same as it was before. just would like to hear some difffernt sounds etc.

@sakura - that is something defintly different. at the moment i dont think it realy has a good structure. however i think like the sound effects and synths in the background i nice and add to the drum work nicely man.

@origins - some nice raw dubstep there, your on to something good in my opinion. work on the mixing mastering etc to get a nice crisp 'proffessional' sound. but i am in the same boat as you about the laptop speakers haha. keep at it mate.

this is something i made about a month back but havnt really put it on here. tips and advice appreciated :)

Alright man, I like the idea you have.
Couple of pieces of advice, or comments should I say.
1. Things sound slightly harsh, have the hats got some sort of distortion on them?
2. I'd add a hat with a regular rhythm, to keep the flow going.

Not trying to be negative lmao.. though it may seem that way :)

@rinseballs21, thanks man :) really like the beginning of your song, with the vocal, and them drums are nice. Hat seems a bit too loud. I love that synth towards the end, but again slightly too loud. But nice work, I like how you keep it varied.

@COKNI, I like the idea, definitely, I would say keep the amount synths to a minimum, but that as my opinion. I don't really enjoy filthy anyway ;p But good track man :)

@NIcorisone, really nice track, synth is too loud though. But I really like the idea, really nice track in your sig too, I'm going to follow you, you make music I like :)

I have a new WIP, only short knocked together in like 10-15 minutes, going to work on it tomorrow though.

Cheeky-good work on the verb for you bass synth, found the melody a bit bland to be honest, i mean the production value was good there just wasn't anything to distinguish the song from other well produced wobblers... Also the bass synth really never popped out at me, the way its eq'd/mixed it kinda feels flat.

anyways here is my tune, i think this may be the final version, any and all comments appreciated

Origins-the track never really gets boring. good job on that. itll be tight to hear that tune done!

RightOnTime27-it feels a little slow. the drop feels random. cool little melodies tho. keep adding that flava! :mrt:

Cheeky -juice those wobbles up!!!! the song itself is dope but work your sounds. the percussion is pretty dope tho, sounds like you put some time into it.

heres my track. i dunno if it counts as dubstep?? if anyone wants to put words over this im down :D

Just wanna repost the link to my wip as it has gone untoiced :(

Link to track (I cannot embed as it is private on soundcloud);

http://soundcloud.com/wife/wife-a-good- ... ss/s-sn67T

____________

Beardyman123: good sound but I think your lead bass could use more sub. The snare has a little to much spill I think also. Lots of dynamic in the tune- good work.

Narrator: Heavy! Stylistically not really my think but definately enough going on to make it a good tune. Good samples for your kit.

Nicorisone: The link is dead but would love to hear the tune.

Janke: Thats amazing work, especialy considering the time you put into it. Lots you can do with that tune. You could make the melody (flute?) more interesting/engaging for sure. Great samples, look forward to hearing how this progresses.

nonXero: "All of you" sounds great. Stylistically not my thing but well produced and mixed. Liking the piano samples alot. Lots of great subtle stuff in there too.

RightonTime27: New mix is sounding great. Sounds really good through my monitors. Alot more sub than I thought! Great track.

Origins: Sounds really good man. Well mixed, really good automation on your lead bass. Good work!

Sprayypaint: Really cool tune. Would love a copy of this to drop in sets! Great bassline and samples.

First I should start off by saying that I may not be the best person to critique other Dubstep works due to my inexperience. But there are first times for everything. :P And of course all views are based on my own taste.

Cheeky

I think your track is too light. This might be because I'm listening on shithouse headphones and not my monitors (because its 4:11AM and the family is in bed). But I reckon the track needs more prominent subs and low-mids. Throw a sub under that LFO synth and you'd have nice solid base to work from. I am thinking there is too much reverb overall on the snare and LFO synth. It feels like I am listening to it from the other end of a tunnel. Perhaps shorten the decay and lean towards a dryer mix of the two signals for both the snare and LFO synth. It my also be that I am going deaf but I found I had to struggle to hear the vocal sample at the start. Even with my headphones being up higher than normal.

I liked the sound of the LFO bass. The track had a nice flow, subtle differences here and there kept the interest up. There weren't any jarring sounds or anything.

RightOnTime27

The vocal at the start sounds too wet. Like there is too much delay and reverb. It sits too far back in the mix. And in contrast there isn't enough reverb on the drums. I'm not talking loads of reverb. Just a smidgen, to set the space. During the track I don't know if they were technical issues or production faults, but there seemed to be jumps in the bassline and samples triggering a tad bit out of time. Resulting in the rhythm being hard to follow in a lot of places. The old school piano stabs are far too loud. They take the attention away from everything which is jarring.

The build up at the start is original. I like the originality of the track itself.

Origins

I like the energy of the start. Perhaps include more low end in the synths/samples at the start. I like the buildup, it isn't overly destructive.

That drop is fucking sick. I like the fact that the rhythm is constant but the synths chop and change. I like the sound of the percussion, plenty of the right high frequencies and fairly clean.I couldn't make out if there was any reverb on the snare, but that is completely fine as thee was plenty going on for it not to be an issue.

And just remember, folks, that is all based on my opinion and you can completely ignore if you want. :D

So here is my little sampler. Done up roughly as I spewed some ideas out. Thoughts?

DJ RISE; Sounds really good man. Not my thing at all in terms of style but the quality of the production shines. Well mixed, everything sits well. You could maybe do with mixing up your lead a bit more, just to add some more dynamic. The sample is 1.17 so I think you would have a hard time stretching that unless you get some more elements in there. Good work
