'Bloom', 'Morning Mr. Magpie' and 'Separator' are the weakest tracks on it. The middle four ('Little by Little', 'Feral', 'Lotus Flower' and 'Codex') are the strongest.firky wrote:The album only really starts to come together towards the middle. only listened once so far, but quite liked it; definitely sensing the amnesiac vibes
there's a rumour going around that what has been released is only the first half of the album, as the newspaper release has two vinyls, which seems odd for a 37 minute album, + separator is the last track with hints in the lyrics
not sure i subscribe to that, but it'd be absolutely sick to get a second half in a month's time or something

There was some reviewer saying the video was done on purpose so that people wold do this sort of stuff with it. Radiohead work the whole internet message board type thing.

Yeah its a great track. He's supposed to have said its the angriest song he's ever written. Its a really deep/sad song if you read the backstory to it - about the suicide/murder of Dr. David Kelly back in 2003 which I didn't know anything about until I read about this song.Mr Hyde wrote:

Thom Yorke and Doom?!?
http://www.nme.com/news/radiohead/55507Radiohead's Thom Yorke is working on a new album with rapper DOOM.
New York MC DOOM, who has also performed under the name MF Doom, said that the album would feature duets and was in its early stages.
He told 3D World magazine that he was "doing some stuff with Thom Yorke. We're working on some duets, some duet songs and shit. Just like preliminary shit but we’ll probably end up doing a whole record together."
He added: "He's cool – he got a lot of ill ass ideas and shit, you know."
Yorke remixed the rapper's song 'Gazzillion Ear' in 2009.
The Radiohead man recently released a collaboration single with Four Tet and Burial. Shortly before that he made a surprise DJ appearance in Los Angeles.
Radiohead's 'The King Of Limbs' album came out last month.

Lotus Flower video is really sweet.
There has been a lot of Thom Yorke coverage over the past week, and I can't help grinning whenever I come across something because of a certain revelation at BLOC.
Seeing Merce Cunningham Dance Company performing to the score by Radiohead and Sigur Ros in Barbican is one of the highlights on my best life gigs list - no chin stroking, makes you realise that classical music, as great as it is, is missing on bass

I really like the album, but it honestly isn't the best thing they have ever done. This coming from an avid radiohead fan. Usually when they come out with something new its like "wow" but thing one is kinda like "eh". Still like the album though just a wee bit disappointed.

Radiohead are a bit of a 'Marmite' thing you either love or dislike.
Personally I could do without Thom Yorke's voice, the music itself
IE, backing instrumentation is often brilliant.
It's just the singing that lets it down for me.
Just my two pence worth though.

I can understand that. I love his voice but could see how it could be annouying to some people but you should check out johnny greenwoods solo stuff if you like the background music. he has an album or two but can't remember their namesmondays child wrote:Radiohead are a bit of a 'Marmite' thing you either love or dislike.
