No doubt this tune is huge, but the lyrics just don't make any sense to my brain.

Without the reason they got someone to care for

It's sending the grammar and literacy tsar inside me nuts. Best effort I can make at translating this into something that makes sense:

"I know people who aren't lonely have a reason for it; they have someone to care for"
or
"There is a reason people are lonely; they don't have anyone to care for"

Hmmph. Doubt anyone will care and fair enough - it's a top tune and this is pedantic nonsense. But still.
