Gonna go full focus on DJ'ing. If anyone wants their shit played out in BE or needs an honest opinion >>> pm.
Looking for dubs lol :D I'm such a wasteman.
You won't give up mate :)
I've been at the 'Imma go full DJing'-stage a lot of times already, but I just love the idea of playing out my own tune one time :)
If you're already sure you wanna make 'Dungeon', then you should certainly not give up. Push harder mate, it's gotta be worth it!
We'll see. At least I'm going to try and finish the last thing I was working on; Don't mind Soundcloud fucking up a lot.

Really mate? That is a great sounding track. I actually just made an account specifically to tell you that.

and i'm actually using my 1000th post to tell you that i think so aswell.
I'm on a laptop right now, so I can't really hear what's happening during the bassline part, but seriously, that intro is awesome!
Love the percussion in there!

Got some good tips in there but nothing to in depth. I was hoping they would have a bit more detail on creating their different bass sounds.
And how will you inquire into a thing when you are wholly ignorant of what it is? Even if you happen to bump right into it, how will you know it is the thing you didn't know?

doesn't really fit 'dungeon', but does anyone have any idea how to make synth lines like this:

Comes in at 0:03 and carries on throughout, J:Kenzo also has a similar sound going in some of his latest tracks that Younsta's been playing. I've come close but I just can't get it.
Similar sound going in this-

alright:
3 oscillators, mostly saw waves but be creative with it. tune them so they play a minor chord.
assign an envelope to a lowpass filter to give it a percussive sound, play around with resonance et cetera so it sounds really bright and stabby.

from there on it's up to you to get creative. you could bounce out a few notes or just play them via midi, put a bandpassfilter on them and a dubby delay afterwards. or you could put the delay first. you could use another filter (bp works best though imo, lp gives it a more house-y buildup feel when you open it continually). you could sidechain it.
make it fit your track rather than making the track fit the sound, as it's one that's already been rinsed for 10 years.

edit: second one's a bit different though. but same principle, assign envelope to filter, play a few notes, play around with another filter afterwards.

Would love to contribute to the topic, but I don't really have the answers people need in here.

The sound at about 0:15 really caught my attention, you probably know which one I mean.
Think it has to do something with some tight filtering and tape distortion, but haven't had my sounds as clean as yours mate, would love some explanation :)

Also, I absolutely think both of your tracks are insane dance floor smashers! Big up!

Haha, a tutorial by the master himself would be amazing, but just some basics would be fine as well, just got no clue where to start processing these basses efficiently :)
