Interesting how you came in here and challenged everyone but in the other thread the age brackets you outlined would actually put you on the side of the youngsters XD

A generation battle sounds like a seriously fun idea! 21 year old here reporting in!
Music isn't a competition.

O this will actually be quite interesting to say the least!

So anyone with some actual experience toward setting the rules and what not for things like this willing to step up and hash out a few guidelines for us all to follow? obviously new beats specifically for this for one competition.

anything else i dont really have too much concern for rule wise.

Ok how bout a few more guidelines from me and then we can get started in a few days?

•Genre of dubstep or something closely related. (No sense comparing apples to oranges)

•Tracks between 3 and four minutes long. (Who has time to listen to a shit ton of 8 minute tracks)

•New beats made specifically for the competition within the days that the competition will run.

•2 Weeks Total, from starting date till ending date for track submissions!

•2 Weeks Total for votes to be weighed in.

•Use Any VSTs or DAWs you feel comfortable with.

As far as voting goes, I propose a bracketing system, with anonymous artists going head to head. We won't reveal who is who until the end.

Anything else I havent covered?

Also, we will need to start doing team seperation to know who is on which side. We have had a lot of "I'm In!"'s but just for official purposes it might be good to really hash it out.

My proposition is that all tunes are anonymous, and everyone gets, say, 5 voting points. The tracks are all layed out randomly and anonymously and everyone gives a vote to their 5 favourite tracks. Then, the age group with the highest gross number of votes wins

if you mean that the voter has no idea whether the song is in his/her age or the opposing age group? thats a good idea. that way it would be fair play without bias
