Lots of strong white rappers about.... i'm referring more to my voice's tone and timbre than my skin colour hah. Only way it comes across half way decent in a mix is harsh early-eminem-angry style meets slightly nasal cypress hill latino cheekyness.

Im currently finishing my recording, but all the sudden, my mic is distorting. help? its a blue yeti USB mic and it is now recording sounds in a deeper tone than before and theres clipping, even though the audio is nowhere near the limit.

i don't know i've never seen a usb mic. id guess double check connections and check the variables in your performance and room, and check gain staging, i just don't know what that is for usb.
otherwise, sounds like the mic took an attitude (or an injury).. n might have to be checked out?

meh, ill manage with mildly clipped vocals...you guys just ignore clipping when you hear it, k?

EDIT: Fixed...I forgot to wear the blanket...the blanket helps keep out ambient noise and keep natural reverb away from the mic...idk how that distorted it, but I fixed it with the blanket

mines got LOADS of mixing problems, but im not gona bother with them...ive got homework to do ...plus if you just listen as a listener and not as a producer it could sound good.
PS. Im 99% sure that EVERYBODY will hate mine due to the lyrical content...its very abnormal for raps, but thats what I do...

heh. Mine got a heaping dose of too much 8k on the master. God only knows why i do these things to myself.... its part of learning my monitors i guess. ain't got time to go back and trim it back til late tonight so i reckon it will have to stay.

But here's a tip that i'm not following myself at the moment: Never slate your own production right before it reaches an audience! Now everyone will be listening for these mistakes, instead of just taking it in and saying hey, thats pretty good!
