lol i have no games on it or friends on it

xbox wins hands down for the simple reason that all my mates are on live and I know no-one on steam or playstation


To be honest though, the last truly satisfying game I played was Zelda - Twilight Princess.

I mean I rinse the latest Football Manager on the Mac but that's not a game it's a career

how do you figure? it's not console exclusive and pcs hook up to tvs rather easy (and actually utilize the hd feature more than consoles)

Nah man, pc gaming just isn't about the social gaming.

i've met far more people i game with regularly via pc gaming than consoles, because lets be honest most console gaming is done online now anyways save a few titles
you're not having buds around to play black ops or whatever the latest fps hype is like you used to when it was goldeneye on the n64

the fact is consoles are cheap and cater to the casual market and they do it well
most people overlook the fact you can do the same and better with pcs which is a damn shame just because they don't come prepacked with all accessories and require a lil more than just plug and play
(which even consoles are starting to stray away from with installing to hd, patches, firmware updates etc)

Street FIghter 4 on the PC is fantastic.

Also call of duty on PC is vastly superior

Pre-MW2 I would agree, but the $60, no mods, no dedicated servers shit they pulled puts it on the exact same playing field as consoles now.


At the end of the day, it's all about the games and there are more than enough good console exclusives to justify an 360/PS3 purchase.

besides it's street fighter alpha 3, tekken tag tournament, streets of rage 3 and the like. shit like that just aint pc material

gonna have to disagree. Played fighting games competitively for almost 2 decades now and know very few people in 2011 that play on console if there is jamma or PC version available.

Namely because we can use our own controlers with vastly superior components and playing mugen on console requires a bunch of bullshit and is an inferior product.

With the exception of Super Smash Bros (Wii is mandatory for that), fighting games are generally best where ever you can get an arcade stick to work. Mugen and playing on PC is great and all, but there are a bunch of games that simply aren't available on PC (Soulcalibur, DOA, Virtua Fighter, MK9, MVC3, Tatsunoko, etc).
