Re: KENDRICK LAMAR
Yeah 1999 goes, especially like the two DOOM produced tracks.
Re: KENDRICK LAMAR
Since we've got a thread on him, might as well do the gig review!
Utterly sick, but I was very slightly gutted that the only support was a very generic local act I didn't catch the name of. I was hoping for at least one of the Black Hippy lot to act as hype or do a support slot, but it was just Kendrick and his DJ.
Also a little bit miffed that Michael Jordan didn't get played! Actually, the set seemed short... it was an hour, but thinking about it coming out I can't believe how many solid records this guy's amassed over 3 years... he probably could've done two hours and some people would've left without hearing their favourite.
Sound was ace... dude can RAP HIS ASS OFF and the beats, especially off GKMC go OFFFFFFF on a big system. Backseat Freestyle and m.A.A.d City were incredible! Finishing on Cartoons and Cereal was intense. Whole place just exploded - couldn't believe so many people still heard that tune despite it not making the album... the Internet's dope. Oh, and ADHD happens to be one of my lady's favourite songs and this was her first big rap show. Eight doobies to the FACE. Ultramegavibez.
