I thought Libertarians still supported taxation for national defence? If so who's going to administer it?Genevieve wrote:Think you mixed me up with osmeone else? I'm against any form of government. And definitely against the EU :0

Re: Political Compass
Most libertarians are anarchists. SOME, minarchists, believe in very little taxation for roads, defense, courts and maybe schools. Without government there would be less war, but large scale defense could be done by insurance companies that take care of their customers.scspkr99 wrote:I thought Libertarians still supported taxation for national defence? Libertarianism is only FOR property rights (starting with your ownership of body and mind) and against innitiating force against others). But some are willing to trade in bits of self-ownership and aggression for minimal state for whatever reason.

Re: Political Compass
okay fair enough the positions I mainly see represented accept a degree of taxation but it seems that's a minority position.

Re: Political Compass
Yeah you really only here about 'minarchists' because they're more involved in mainstream politics. And most 'mainstream libertarians' are really just conservatives or even hawks with one libertarian position or two (I guess saying they have a libertarian positions sounds better than liberal to their friends). It's not really the most well represented ideology haha.

Re: Political Compass
Yeah I got that when I realised that some dick was calling out other "libertarians" for not wanting to go to war with the whole of Islam. From the very little I know of Libetarianism as a philosophy with non violent core that seemed somewhat ridiculous even to me.

Moved left 2 clicks and down 2 clicks since I last did this.
I hate the labour party and I dislike anything left of it (Although I can at least respect those parties). Apart from some of the implementation, I agree with most of Cameron's ideologies. Fuck this quiz.
