Wow, that 303 preset sounds good. Not like 100% accurate or anything, but damn good and can definitely pull-off some acid.

Obviously not as good as the real thing (no one expected that though right?), but close enough especially for free. It rattles my windows and wall, but having used my friend's Voyager a lot it's missing a bit of that raw oomph, however it can be added with effects. If I paid full price, I would feel happy with it. The Model E in Cubase used to be the definitive emulator, and it was very nice but this is better. Much better interface too. This is the only one Bob Moog approved of as well, so that should tell you something.

You can turn on/off the effects like delay, chorus etc but cannot edit them. Any presets that use edited effects can only have them turned off. It includes their motion recorder which is a nice bonus, as well as Arturia's cool Sound Map browser which is a cool way to sort stuff. It also has lots of very high quality patches which is a nice bonus.

I'm expecting Arturia to release this again in the coming months with a new name and updated interface at a discounted price. I would consider buying it for the extra features if they price it right.
What effects do you suggest to get that raw oomph? Is it just the typical saturation/overdrive?

Keen to try and get it as close to the real thing as possible! :D

Got the email, for peeps saying problem connecting, use the link in the attachments to the torrent. That worked for me, after that I had some trouble installing it, was having an error message, that was in standalone tho, authorizing it inside my DAW made it work fine.

It was hard enough just during the first hour in France's time zone. I'm sure it was worse all day. Their server was not ready for that kind of traffic.

Yeah standard saturation business really. It sounds a bit thin on the bright high end and reso. I'd recommend something like the Bootsy plugins like Ferric. Maybe some light Camelcrusher or Vintage Warmer for sure. There's also that softclip button on the right of the synth where the power button would be on the hardware unit. Adds a nice touch to certain sounds. I tried using the modwheel and LFO set very low to act as a sort of pitch drift that's barely noticeable, similar to how voltage controlled oscillators would drift off slightly.

mad flava
thanks I was trying to remember that De la macha plugin earlier. I'd also suggest TB Reelbus which is the same price http://www.toneboosters.com/tb-reelbus/
For Macheads, there's a wow/flutter plugin for free from airwindows. If you don't have all of those you are missing out. One of the biggest 1-ups you got on PC.

This thing sounds pretty good. Lots of useful neutral presets too.

The way the knobs are controlled by a mouse is pretty outdated, but for free this thing is awesome quality. Much better when I actually hooked it up with some modwheel/pitchbend action.

What do you mean by this? I got it working with a MIDI control surface fine. Unless you mean something else.
