Yep, that's true. That's why I mentioned that the GOOD house tracks stand out from the boring a little more in house because of how much there is. Probably more house out there than any other electronic genre.noam wrote:lets not beat about the bush, a LOT of music in general is boring
what separates great music from music in general is something special, 90% of people don't have that something special
what im getting at is
electronic music needs more x-factor

so we're agreed on the x-factor right?
Re: Anti foot shuffling campaign
Dunno, maybe there just needs to be less music overall.noam wrote:so we're agreed on the x-factor right?

no music = no dancing

Re: Anti foot shuffling campaign
I agree with that but i think it applies to any genre, most of it's same old & some of it stands out.garethom wrote:Let's not beat about the bush, A LOT of house IS just boring 4x4, but the tracks that stand out work so well and are real treasures because they stand out in one of the most diluted and popular genres with a pretty rigid structure.
imo the 4x4 kick has nothing to do with it

Re: Anti foot shuffling campaign
I with Wubstep and Magma on this one, house and most 4x4 electronic music doesnt really do it for me. Its slowly growing on me just due to the amount of it you hear and every dance, but i really cant see me ever being interested enough to search for it myself.
Are there any goto places in bristol for hardcore nights or is it just random?wubstep wrote:Hardcore (rave) moshes are d bestest

Re: Anti foot shuffling campaign
I have no problem with 4x4, house is just the most boring manifestation of it, would literally rather listen to speedcore.
Plenty of nights for it in Bristol, Kay said he was up for some more hardstuff in 2013, I shall convert ye ninjaz.

Re: Anti foot shuffling campaign
Brutal techno I imagine can be down right scary. Not my cup of tea (atleast at this point in time) but then I dont get hardcore and stuff like that either, I cant really even deal with drum and bass much anymore either.
