how many times did you get your dick sucked for being a big shot post set?
It was offered a fair few times, especially abroad. But alas, I'm practically married and never partook.

So many disappointed guys...

Read that wrong and thought you said that somebody took a shit through the glory hole, gross misuse if I've ever seen one.

I think Joe Nice sort of meant its dead to him, as in theres nothing worth going on here for anymore. Think it came across harsher than he actually meant.

Its funny I remember reading loads of interviews and stuff years ago where people were saying the great thing about dubstep is fans don't put the producers/djs on pedestals, they finish a set and head into the crowd and talk to fans like normal human beings. I still believe that to be true to a certain extent, I don't think the fans do this.. however the producers/djs put themselves on pedestals. Someone mentioned the VIP forum and I rarely see DJs mingle in crowds anymore, I think the last person I saw finish a set and enter the crowd was Mala, a true role model.

Its sorta ironic that among the 'elitist' its acceptable and encouraged to speak very negative about this place.. because this place has become a little bit more negative (especially since skrillex/brostep). Who saw Pinch say that Skrillex tune was a blatent Burial rip off and get instantly shot down by like 3/4 producers? You can't voice a proper, well constructed, negative opinion on someones work if they've made it but its okay to put fuckwit comments like "i'm glad its dead".

Surgeon pretty much walked right into the crowd after his set a few weeks ago.
Kind of depends on the venue I think.

Reso was mingling with the crowd when he was here before and after his set when he was here. Bullshitted with him over the night about a bunch of shit including DSF when he figured out who I was.
Most acts do this (maybe just because they're in the states and a lot of our venues are more akin to bars than huge clubs unless it's one of those headliners like Skrillex, Rusko etc who call for those large venues).

I rarely see people mingle anymore, a lot less than I did anyway. I dunno what its like in London.. I assume the lesser known still mingle, I doubt the big guys do... unless they're crowd surfing :6:

Dubstep hates Brostep.
Scuba hates Dubstep.
DSF hates Scuba.
Zomby hates everyone.

Deal with it.

if an artist thinks they're too big for this forum then they need to wake up and realize that outside of this subculture, no one knows who the fuck they are...

also people trying to ride skrillex's millionaire coat tails to stardom can really really really get fucked i don't care how much of your material i own - that shit is just disgusting and lame. some kardashian type shit.

Saw Zed Bias at Cable once, he turned up at 11 even though his set wasn't until much later in the night and just jammed out by the bar the whole time, was real friendly to anyone who came and chatted with him as well!

Top geezer!

All this introspection and genuflection and contextualization...

Could it be this forum's balls are finally about to drop? -q-

I think it's a bit of a shame that any artists avoid it tbh. Absolutely no love for artists who have no time for the people who buy and support their work.
