Of course you should live and let live. I'm not saying my taste is objectively better or something, I'm not a twat. I'm just wondering if the capitalist, centralized system of pop music is really the best we can do for people at large.

The way you guys talk about music is really unsettling. As if people who don't listen underground cool music are basically starved of culture or morally wrong.

Lighten the fuck up?

All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

who knows? All I know is that I know plenty of people that don't care what's on, because they aren't really paying attention anyway.

Back on topic. Good:

@riddles
No, its only you and Gareth that have equated underground with being good in this thread.

I think people are just discussing good or bad popular music.

not morally wrong. i can accept the fact that there's people who don't passionately relate to music, especially "underground" music. but i have to say that MOST top40 / etc super popular mainstream crap is usually deprived of excess emotion, sincerity, artistic value.. there are of course exceptions but what i'm trying to say is that the mainstream commonly doesn't offer u much

people who hate on pop seem like they're not secure enough in their own tastes, so feel the need to hate on others to big themselves up imo

u guys probz have a 5 panel and think the epitome of undergorund is keysound anyway

It's totally fine to want to democratize most discussions, but we are talking about expertise and there's no reason to be afraid of that notion. It demands a certain authority on whoever wields it, but nothing larger than what any dj should carry with him if he is going in a spotlight imo. The weight of taste and so on.
