Slim wrote:Were those muffled vocals with the heavy portamento bass from it as well? Or from Etched Headplate? They sound like they say Archangel, or dark angel at some point in them, but the beat sounds different.
I was pondering this too and I reckon that the verse-long childlike-pitched vocal is off "Etched Headplate", as the beat and some other elements can be recognized from the webstore clips. The act of picking a title for a track from the lyrics of another track on the same album is somehow, for me, perfectly in line with the way the tunes treat and re-contextualize the vocals, disregarding many unconciously followed conventions.
tom_bass: He also says "I meant this shit!", doesn't he? The voice reminds me a bit of Jay of "Jay & Silent Bob". Really goes for the emotion, but has an entirely different flavour to it. So rude it scares me.

Recorded this straight off the radio, pm me next tuesday if you want the extra crackly goodness.
I can't say it enough, but i need some feral witchchild in my life, his old tunes were amazing, but these are beyond anything he has done before. And how the hell is he going to play live like mary said, can't imagine he will dj conventionally

i loved the tiny little snippets of Stairwell that got played, just that fierce beat. That is going to be a heavy release.

Nah she was just hyping it up and clearly ridiculously excited. Listen to her voice when she says "the guardian" it's like she's shuddering in anticipation.

When I listened to Dubstep Warz for the first time I also felt like that, but today I can relate perfectly. Waking up this morning I immediately thought of listening to the mix, much in the same way I may have thought of a painful love issue. It was like
straight from the unconscious to these tunes.

When I read people going on about this album and the preview mix I feel like I'm missing out because my soul isn't 'transforming into a vault of entropic seratonsiltwiddling terratorments' like everyone else's is.

Nice tho in't it?
It might be the way it's all cut up but this preview mix is really reminding me of Chill Out (KLF) at the moment - they did the elegy for the rave dream thing in 1989!

I've got the show recorded and need to listen later. Does everyone know about Audio Hijack by Rogue Amoeba? I've been using that to record streams...works great. That Sub Swara/Skull Disco soundclash was sick too...finally listening to it. Heard some (not all) of the Burial mix...really rich. Ready for Vex'd tomorrow at Dub War?
