Cleverly called Electro.
At the time I owned Massive, and knew what the Br00taaaal Electro patch was but I never thought anyone would use it.
I listen to the Dutty Dubz tune and I'm like, "Hm, that's a pretty cool sounding, unique bass."
A couple of months later, I start reading DSF, and it slowly dawns on me that, Wait! I've Been Had!
Wow Electro yeah! That was like 3 years ago, I used to play the shit out of that one.
I can't beleive there are 6 pages on this topic. All of you need to go write a tune featuring the brutal electro patch to get it out of your system.
I'll start one tonight!
EDIT - 7 pages and it's all my fault.

It's funny, I loaded up Brutal Electro the first time I went on Massive, just browsing the presets, and even a year ago when I'd just starting making Dubstep and didn't even KNOW about BE Abuse, I thought it sounded shit
There oughtta be a BEA group (Brutal Electro Anonymous) where various Dubstep artists can stand up and say "Hi, I'm Skream/Dutty Dubz/C&S/whoever and I abuse shitty presets."
Nothing like group therapy to work out your problems...

I haven't got any presets for massive but I always start with a preset in Albino / Predator and then start fucking around with it till I get a new sound
guess i'm too lazy to start from scratch

I just locked in to RinSE FM! lol and i here the JR BASS patch straight away haha
but the grime scene evolved from using same old presets
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQbLpoR93I
Its the same with the Dubstep Scene
there are ALOT of people coming out with next level basslines etc for example Datsik-Havoc,Coki-Spongebob etc
heh you must not listen to any dnb hardly new but yea they're technical with the modulation and processing

hahahahaha I had no idea this was such a taboo preset lol
I am guilty as charged - Check my tune Sunset On Mars, it's been processed and layered heaps but the original sound is still good old Brutal Electro (if I remember correctly....)

well to be fair im not realy familiar with these presets, so cant really argue against their usage.
but chase and status popularity is not down to the use of presets in two recent tracks i can assure you
