I thought the videos were very good. I wish I had seen them when I had started out because he gives away a lot of his tips.
Has taken me ages to work out most of this stuff by myself

Clipz et al are popular for a reason. They make tunes that are accessible to everyone, ones that people enjoy partying too.
I just never really liked much of Skream or Digital Mystikz music. I respect that they've pioneered the sound, but I'd still prefer to go to a Thunderdome rave than see Skream play live.
Personally, I'd rather listen to a hype set than a monged out 'dubfest' that's difficult to dance too. If I really want to listen to slow dubby music, I reach for proper dub.

You lot should stop wasting time and Kbs and go leave feedback for some dubs or something, you know!

nowaysj,
i tried all the waveforms too, and didn't get the result i wanted, that's why i asked the question overhere. i watched the video on youtube to see if i could make out some of the settings on the screen. unfortunately, the youtube quality was too low to see anything so i set out to find a copy op cm with the dvd. all was sold out over here, but i found a magazine shop on ebay in greece that still had a copy. after watching the better resolution vid, i could make out a few more details butt i still wasn't near the sound i heard in the video. sometimes you can see that in the lower left part of rusko's albino screen, the lofi effect is present. still have to experiment a little bit more with that one... any more tips are welcome.
here's what i came up with so far:
4 oscillators
1 analog
3 digital with the spectre33 >< organ 1 wave
spread seems to be off - range = 8
filters?
lofi master effect probably on

you are trying to recreate a bass patch that you have heard from a camcorder with speakers behind the person recording?
you cannot even it correctly and he prob has some FX added on it.

Yeah I know. But its not a subtle sound. I can't get albino to do anything like that.
Maybe I gotta video tape my krk5's?!
I dont think its that hard to do tbh.
Listen to what he says he says exactly how he does it.
sine for sub and then layered the 3 others at different octaves/waveforms. If you play around with the 'spread' and 'sub' dial with the filters and the LFO-Filter1 cut off Albino sounds like that.
I am quite new to Albino3 and I have my problems with it also. I cannot work out how to get the "filter 2" to work with any of the osc's lol.
I also cannot work out how to assign the FX in the bottom left to my desired osc
Even if I set it to 'route to' 'fx2' and then set 'amp' to 'fx2' it doesnt put the FX on. wtf

I thought I would just need to set on OSC2 'f2' and that means use Filter2 but it doesnt seem to work.
Would appreciate if som1 could tell me how I tell the FX unit to use the OSC/Filter I want.

i'll call your bluf serox.
if it's not hard to do, post the patch and we'll rate it

.
and yes i am trying to recreate i sound i hear on a video. the problem is i am not even near at the moment. i know the sound quality of the video isn't great but it's not like rusko's original patch was a flute pad or something. i think you get the general idea and atmosphere of the sound from the video: ripping, that is.

I was waiting for som1 to say that.

Perhaps, but my preference is still for some artists over others.
Taking live music as an example.
I love the occassional burst of ska or blues, but you wouldn't catch me ever listening to Cajun music...! There are similarities between them I'm sure, and some Cajun is far more complex than ska, but my preferences remain.
I'm not mad, I just know what music floats my boat and what doesn't. Taking the entire output of each artist, I enjoy the work of Clipz et al over Skream and Digital Mystikz.
If we were to get specific, I'd choose Skream over Clipz, but I'd choose all three of the artists everyone loves to hate over Digital Mystikz..... Their music simply doesn't spank my monkey if ya know what I mean!
