Trott's gotta get past 50, and Strauss needs to be hitting 70. The rest might push 100 between them

Long shot? :P

Lead of 215 already... I honestly reckon if we can put on another 85 then it's ours to lose...

If!!

I still think we need 200 here.

Do you think Broad deserves Flintoff's position?

chooks=chickens

why did England stay out there so long?
now a slim chance of a draw.

Bugger 20/50 overs
this is the real deal.

Agree about the late declaration... should've come straight off when Trott got his hundred.

I had to avoid this for the whole of yesterday because my parents came up to visit and then it was my housemate's birthday night... watched the highlights at about 4 this morning. Fucking MENTAL day.

Good start to the morning for us.... though Ponting's almost looking solid for once... must have been that crack to the face yesterday!

As much as a draw, I reckon Australia came out chasing the total yesterday evening... it's definitely fucking ON.

We're showing some grit
but can't come at stonewalling.
Lot's of nails being chewed in crowd.

I'm waiting to hear the Barmy Army v Fanatics score.

:D

Regents Park was fun today... anyone else in there? My mates couldn't get in, but managed to rush the gate!

FUCKING BRILLIANT

Well played to the Aussies though... they really gave it an honest go in that second innings. Ponting chose just the wrong time to get his eye back in... felt a bit bad for Haddin, should've at least had his N/O.

Stuart Broad deserves to be on the front pages tomorrow, but Andrew Strauss has been awesome all series, great captain... after so long without a good captain, it's great to see him in form.

Bring on the one dayage!

get up, turn on radio:
Western Australian giant oilspill
winter heatwave to trigger bushfires
we lost the Ashes
:(
Luckily other disasters are putting it in perspective.

Enjoy the victory fellas
and keep winning to make us look good.
