Sadly I'm beginning to think Dubstep died a little while back (RIP). Doorly and his ilk are like necrophiliacs cheerfully humping its lifeless corpse with no knowledge or concern for what it was when it was alive and well

jesus, some peoples views really are disapointing.

Ok, so doorly aint your thing, cool, and it's fine to say so, however some comments on hear are simply retarded.

I quite like the bonkers remix, will play it out coz i know it'll go off, the hooligans remix is pretty nice also, that'll get dropped, the rest of his stuff is pretty poor, but who aint done poor work before, nonone.

But really what i'm wonting to say is if there is so much hate for people pushing shit, changing shit making cheesy remix's etc, we would never be in the musical place we are in now, without people doing different stuff, doing something not everyone is gonna like, if that was the case the world would be a pretty dull place.

I listen to all forms of music, all forms of dubstep all forms of dnb, why be narrow minded about any music, it's no gonna benifit anything, diversity is the spice of life, just let it be, someone might hear that bonkers remix get into dubstep and become the best thing that ever happened to the sub base side of dubstep coz they got into it off some cheesy chart shit remix you all hated.

Just let it be and enjoy the music you enjoy.

Aint that a bad sign tho?

i'm always looking out for new stuff, some of it's shit some of it's good, but you dont know unless you go looking for it, unless you just wait to be told by someone else whats good and whats not?

edit: actaually that dont come across right, what i mean is if you can comment on it being shit yet you dont know who he is, have you not gone looking for it to come to your own decission if it's shit or not, or are you saying it's shit coz others have done the same. I struggle to understand how people can say a piece of music is shit without actually hearing it, or at least giving it a try.

i just clicked the link in the first post, that's the first i've heard of Doorly, and probably the last

none of the djs i listen to play this stuff, i've never seen these tunes in the shops i buy records in, i never hear it on the radio. it's fucking awful, but the fact that i'd have to go out of my way to listen to it makes the statement that he's 'ruining dubstep' pretty daft to me.

i do go out of my way to listen to new producers but if i hear something i don't like, i don't go back to it. so now i can say i've heard Doorly tunes, and never have to hear them again.

it strikes me that the only way you could hold this opinion is if you listen to all your music via youtube by typing in 'dubstep'

If it gets commercial, you get twats at your favourite nights. Which is, in my humble opinion, an epic fail. It being underground means that it's always packed with great, chillin' people!

i thought ketamine ruined dubstep or was it rusko or funky. when will people shut the fuck up about what they dont like and just listen to what they do like. just because someone gets a good review in some magazine or starts selling more records than producer x doesnt mean everyone is gonna jump on the bandwagon and make exactly the same sort of thing. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT LISTEN TO SOMETHING ELSE!

THIS.

To all the "just listen to something else" crew, I get what you mean, but in a way it's not even about the tunes themselves, it's about the fact that a few years ago you could go to a dubstep night and it would be full of cool people who were really into the music, and nowadays it'll probably be full of idiots wanting to hear the newest 'big tune'.

Which is shit.

And is the result of tunes like this doorly dude is making.

exact, if there hasn't been a thread about him "ruining dubstep" i would have never heard of him. And it would have been good like that.

Come on it's awful, these are just mid range noises put together, this is not a track, this is defo not a dubstep track. Crookers could have made this. Plus this is made by an Ibiza cigarette just wanting to get his hands on what's cool at the moment.

OK this could make some people go nuts in a dance, but damn does this fact makes it a good tune???

This may sounds elitist but i think 99% of people who've been loving dubstep since around 2005/2006 would never rate Doorly and the likes.

Some people just don't understand music anymore...

CBA reading the whole topic. Point is I could record myself pissing in to a mic over the original Bonkers and it would still be better than the Doorly remix..
